Oh bless, he is lovely, he looks really confident and happy, I am sure he will settle in really quickly.

It might be the cat nip that made him pee in your handbag you know or did you take it to the rescue where you got him from ?, maybe that is telling you that he doesnt want to go back there and he wanted to get rid of the smell of it ! OK a bit far fetched but you never know.

I've experimented with wooden pellets in a spare tray as well, just in case he just hates the chick crumb and that's why he didn't use it?
