I`m trying not to look to much like mad kitten lady at the mo Angie, do have house on market! Trying to "hide" 5 kittens today was a bit of a headache, luckily two went to sleep under a blanket to make it only look like £! Happily the people already have a cat so a bit sympathic towards the situation but the chickens did raise an eyebrow Thank god the older cats can go out and "disappear" that way.

was quite sharp with her. She said a neighbour told her just to put him out but she thought it was cruel as he didn't go out much any more 

no donation, a few pouches of jelly and the carrier with no paper or bedding inside.

So at 18, he is going to be able to look after himself isn't he. The of course the neighbour will be moaning because he is hanging around hers pleading to be fed and she will let him starve, because cats can cope in the big wide world.

I would have been slightly more than sharp with her I am afraid, I would have killed her!  One less idiotic human to worry about then, oh and I would have sorted the neighbour as well! 

It is throw away remarks like the stupid neighbours that leads to the dumping of cats.

She phoned back at 5 and i went to fetch with murder on my mind.

It really is amazing how many people don't plan very well when they emigrate - and how there are certain times of the year when loads of people seem to emigrate. Fingers crossed for this little one, I suppose it is something that they rang a rescue rather than a vet.

sounds like a load of  to me - who on earth includes a call to local cat rescue on the day they emigrate

unless the intention was to ditch him and there was a twinge of conscience at the last

Looking at it a good way, perhaps she was hoping he would die before she left? ...... ... or of course it could be the (not usual but quite a lot of the time) bull.
