The vet is keeping Splitz in, she is on a drip  :'(

Going back to see her at 7pm to see how she has responded.
Its the only thing that can kick her back, as the injections should have done something  :'
Willow was on a drip a few months ago and it helped her no end

Fingers crossed you had a good night with her, and hope the vet can give her something like a VitB jab to boost her, and maybe some sub-q fluids, they dont tend to want to eat if they are dehydrated. I would go for a/d over Liquivite, I have never found a cat that liked Liquivite yet.

She has brought back her ab tablet again.

I am having to hold her mouth open & drip water into it,

Gonna give the others their nite time tablet and take them all to bed.
Feel like poo myself.

her metabolism will be slower than the others though, as she is older, so the abs may take longer to work

she may surprise you in the morning - I do hope so

Thanks for your replies.I am going to ring the vet again in the morning.

They dont keep animals overnite, their emergency care goes to the animal  a & e pet hospital where we rushed Pod, and they didnt
do anything for him, which is why the vet took pod straight in the next morning.

They have all been eating chicken snce they have been poorly (was hand feeding them), splitz aint having any of it now.

The vet said the injections she has been getting should boost her up, it did the others & they are all eating & drinking properly again.

She just doesnt seem to have the will like the others, her age concerns me  :'(

:( If she is so bad I wonder whether maybe the vet could keep her just for a short while and put her on a drip feed just to try and boost her up?

Hope she pulls through this, tons of love going her way

you must tell Splitz that we are not going to tolerate any more tragedies on here, and she better pull herself together and get those antibodies working :Luv2:

Mine all loved Liquivite, even those who didnt really need to be drinking it!

Its definitely worth a try, as is A/D. When Sam was poorly I sat and hand fed him pieces of chicken, maybe you could try that for Splitz.

Yes many more cats will eat ad which can also be syringed and so many hate liquivite.

Kocka stopped eating AD for a time and got some L from vet and he warned me that many cats dont like it and she didnt.

Luckily she went back to eating AD off my finger  ;D

I didn't know most cats didn't like Liquivite, Gill. Toby used to drink it for us all the time when we were worried about his food and liquid intake - yet another example of how lovely the little Ginger Avenger was..... :Luv:

Hope Spitz keeps fighting, Tina.

AD diet from the vets, about a £1 a tin and keeps in Frdge for a couple of days, most cats dont like liquivite but will eat aAD and its specially for convalecsing cats.

I do hope spitz doesnt give up and poor girl I bet she is just so scared

Liquivite is pretty good for cats that are ill and refusing food and water because it has both. It's not too expensive either.

Poor Splitz, she's your really nervous girl isn't she?

With all the vet help, injections & tablets when we an get them down her.
I fear she is feeling that down, that she is slowly giving up  :'( :'( :'(

She has stopped eating and only having a sip of water.
She is has lost weight and she is very weak.
I have been squeezing water into her mouth, as cant get a syringe untill tomorrow.

Is there anything that i can give her to help boost her up by syringe feeding her , Lactol maybe ?

The other 3 are sleeping alot, but are eating & drinking plenty of felix milk.
