Poor Munchkin. I think his mouse run has dried up. He spent the best part of 3 hours yesterday watching the same bit of hedge but not a mouse in sight. He was most crestfallen.

He hasn't shown any after effects of the Great Mouse Binge and judging by the speed the mice he brought in were running at I don't think there was anything wrong with them.

Rather a relief actually- OH was finding the crunching noises coming from under his chair most off-putting!

My guess is that he has worked out the local "Mouse runs"

Weve heard of rat runs - well mice do the same - stick to their regular little route.

All Mr Munchkin  needs to do is pop down to the local Mouse Highway and as one runs through ..... its snack time  :(

He is doing the equivalent of popping down to his well stocked corner-shop
 :tired:

Watch him - if you see him sitting quietly in the same spot each day you are onto him .... try sprinkling the area with something like citronella oil -it might put him off and destroy the mouse scent   ;)

I would worry someone is using poison which is slowing the mice down, did they look funny at all?

How does this work then?

The Munchkin, though a fine and wonderful boy, is notorious for being the world's worst hunter. He is 7 (approx), has lived with us for 2 years and in that time has caught exactly 1 mouse (which immediately made good its escape and legged it). However, in the past week he has sucessfully caught a bird (sadly, died before we could rescue it) and 6 MICE!! (he ate 2 but we rescued the other 4).

I fear his inner lion has finally surfaced...

 :scared:
