Tiggy's ears used to get very waxy, I think when they get to a certain age they stop caring about extremeties  :evillaugh: I used to wipe them with a fragrance free baby wipe, I think I'd be more wary of cleaning eyes than ears.

Alice is beautiful BTW, love her blanket too  :)

Looking as pretty as ever bless her  :Luv2: :Luv2:

Never cleaned cat ears myself Mark but I would suggest a piece of cotton wool dipped in luke warm water.

I got them in Broadstairs in the hospice shop. Amazing that nobody bought these proper blankets, yet most people buy fleece ones
They are nice & cool for the summer  :)

I went into a charity shop and picked up 3 x new mothercare cotton baby blankets for 50p each today. Great for the summer  :) - we shouldn't need any new blankets for a while

Something else happened last week that shocked me as well. I was standing otside the herbalist shop over the road talking to the owner. She was showing me some azec type plaster masks she had been given by a restarant that closed down. A man from another charity shop over the road (a childrens charity) went past, and she asked him if he wanted them for the shop - he said he wanted them for himself  >:( - about a day later, I went out the house with some stuff for the Red Cross shop and she was outside her shop and called out "What have you got there?" - I said it was some stuff for the charity shop - she asked to have a look to see if there was anything she wanted first  >:(

I now tend to just give everything to my local cat charity (Lincoln cat care ) they all do this themselves and they have a small shop in Lincoln so i just give them stuff every time i have a clear out -which has been a lot lately as i have cleared out stuff after decorating .
I can''t be doing with haggling with people as you say -some are so mean they begrudge parting with it even for charity.

I wouldn't be able to keep my gob shut  :evillaugh: - some people are just so mean - even worse when the money is being raised for charity.

I know what you mean Mark,  we did a car boot sale last year and people were so funny,  we were selling quite good stuff,  OK not priceless antiques,  but OK stuff,  I had a conversation with a woman who was haggling with me over a brand new pair of shoes from Jones the Bootmaker that had cost me well over £50 and I had never worn because they were too high,  I had them priced at £2 and she only wanted to pay 50p !  I ended up selling them for 75p but the haggling was not really worth it,  I should have just taken them to the local charity shop and have done with it.

The man picked up a plastic jug and said "how much" Sally told him 10p or something - he examined it like it was a rare item and asked his wife what she thought before finally  paying

I know the cheaper something is the more people are suspect

50 pence each, from where?

Rhodes Minnis (Kent) summer open day - they have a lots of stalls selling stuff really cheap. The book stall was 20p for a paperback and 25p for a hardback. Something I tried to do last year I attempted again this year. Our local 2nd hand book seller a few doors from me said he will pay more than that and he will buy in bulk so everyone wins  ;D - It is a crime that people spend so long making a blanket for so little - at the same time, they are helping. Just a shame they don't fetch more money. Even our CP fairs only charge £1  - People don't want to pay much for things. I went to one of our fairs a couple of years ago. There was an old couple. The man picked up a plastic jug and said "how much" Sally told him 10p or something - he examined it like it was a rare item and asked his wife what she thought before finally  paying

They are all nice but OH wouldn't allow me to pay 50p for so much work. Christine & I were talking about this the other week.

Aww bless,  sure Alice would prefer you to say 'seperated at birth'   :Luv2:

I suppose a cat's granny only has to be a year older  :sneaky:

OH bought the cats some new blankets today. Some of them are really thick and intricate and probably take a good few days to make + the wool but they were 50p each  - OH gave £5 for 4.

Alice has taken to one already  :Luv2:
