50 pence each, from where?
Rhodes Minnis (Kent) summer open day - they have a lots of stalls selling stuff really cheap. The book stall was 20p for a paperback and 25p for a hardback. Something I tried to do last year I attempted again this year. Our local 2nd hand book seller a few doors from me said he will pay more than that and he will buy in bulk so everyone wins
- It is a crime that people spend so long making a blanket for so little - at the same time, they are helping. Just a shame they don't fetch more money. Even our CP fairs only charge £1
- People don't want to pay much for things. I went to one of our fairs a couple of years ago. There was an old couple. The man picked up a plastic jug and said "how much" Sally told him 10p or something - he examined it like it was a rare item and asked his wife what she thought before finally paying
