True. But am not entirely convinced a "forever home" would've had the capacity to love her any more than Luci and Geoff did. Poor Luci sounded devastated when she called.

Got a message regarding Ethel yesterday; she'd had a relapse and was vomiting. I've just had a very distressed call from Luci letting me know Ethel had started losing balance again and was incontinent. She'd had a major stroke and had been diagnosed with Horns disease.

They've had to let her go. Understandably, Luci couldn't say much more.

RIP Ethel, you were loved an awful lot by your foster "mummy and daddy."

Ethel is massively improved, so much so that they're going to start asking around for a permanent home again. Obviously anyone who might offer her a home will be told about the issues she has had.

She had an A/B jab which has perked her up a bit apparently. She also tail swishes a lot which has settled over the last couple of days.

Ethel is back in for more checks tomorrow. She's apparently VERY vocal so I've advised Luci to ask for a geriatric blood panel and a blood pressure check.

She was a bit brighter today.

Ethel is back at the vets today after taking a tumble down the stairs. Luci is not happy about how Ethel is moving about and is very concerned.

Sorry - missed the question. I haven't been told, so presumably general old age unsteadiness. (Mog can be a bit wobbly on the pins, although she is nearly 20 so it's allowed.

All clear on her tests, Ethel has been flea'd and allowed back to Luci.

Still looking for a permanent home for this girl.

I did say if it was FIV then Ethel still had a chance of a decent home. Will see what happens tomorrow.
