Yes, agree with Shirley, if you can I would try and rescue both Mum and baby.

:(   I would just pick up mommy and baby and take them both to a rescue centre, pleading ignorance, they appeared in your garden etc, otherwise mommy is going to be pregnant again and the kitten as well if she is female. People like this make my blood boil!
I know rescues are full to bursting, but there will be a few more soon if this is just left.
Otherwise, ring the RSPCA or CPL for advice, stressing that mommy is only 8 months old now and has the toms after her.
Good luck!

I even thought about picking the baby up and taking her to the CPL but i guess that would be pretty awful  of me

Im sure the cats wouldnt feel that way

I couldn't leave a kitten of that age outside MM.  Good grief our little uns are nearly as old as the mum and I'd be beside myself with worry if they were out overnight; and our puds are normally allowed 24/7 indoor/outdoor access but not till they're older

I know you will feel a bit guilty but I would definitely try and pick up the little kitten - it doesn't sound like saying anything to the owners will make any difference.

Yes I would definitely say something!!  If she is the sort of person who really takes no notice - she probably just isn't realising the situation in a few years time - then she'll be wanting help.  I would try and discuss this with her, explaining what will happen very quickly if she doesn't do something about it and that it will eventually get out of hand.  I would also offer to help her with this  ;) not financially if they are hers but if she can't afford explain that she can get help etc, I wish there were stricter laws about people having pets  :tired:

Please consider the harder to home cats in rescue.

If I were you, I would at least try and "spirit" the kitten away somewhere when your neighbours were not around and then plead ignorance if asked.  At least the little one would be out of harms way and it doesn't sound like they really care what happens to the poor little thing.

Unfortunately, the only thing you could try and do for mum is get them a voucher to get her spayed - maybe if it doesn't got them anything they will actually do something for her.

I think I would still say something even if you think they won't listen or do anything about it.  At least then I'd know I tried to talk sense to them!

Same here with my neighbours.  :censored:
They just don't care.
So soon mum's going to be pregnant again too  :(
I'm afraid it won't help if you say something.

You can only hope the kitten becomes street wise soon

i am in an awkward position  :scared:

My neighbour had a litter of kittens from her 8 month old kitty poor thing i re-homed 3 kittens via family and friends and she has kept one herself the mother has still not been spayed and we now have tom cats round calling for her and the poor kitten she kept which is around 9-10 weeks old is outside
When i drove out this morning the poor thing was under their car with it's mother and also last night so do i say something to my neighbours or not???? i know she will not take any notice of me because i gave her contact numbers to get the mother cat spayed and she's not bothered to do anything  >:(
