Memphis has Lax A Past when he was all constipated. He had to have 3/4 inch of paste in his food until his bowel movement were regular (from once every 3 or 4 days to once a day). It was only for a week or two. As I understood it the paste softens things up to get them moving.

lay me down, let me go, feeling heavy the ground is cold,
lay me down take it slow I'm ready to stumble, sing & then swing low

I noticed over the weekend Zak has not been himself, and after 3 days not eating properly, a few furballs and generally not being himself.(which I put down to the weather)
I decided enough was enough and took him to the vets

Well I was right to he has a very full intestine and a high temperature he has had 2 injections and has lax a past paste to try and help him go although I think he went yesterday when i cleared the tray i saw what looked like his but was quite smelly

he has had some paste and i forgot to ask how long it should take to help, does anyone know??

He is at present asleep on the bed so will see wat occurs when he wakes
