Oh he is loving it.  The clouds are starting to come over now so might have to disturb his nap (he's still on the patio chair from when I took the last photo) and get us indoors!!

My Mum and Step-Dad came to stay this weekend.  They arrived on Friday afternoon and I was helping Step-Dad in with the bags.  When I came back into the house my Mum had the back door open and was uncovering the patio furniture  :-:

My first reaction was to panic as we've only had Samson for 2.5 weeks and obviously had no plans to let him out for at least another 2 but when I saw him just sitting on the patio like the lord of the mannor that he is, I decided to just see what happened.

We all joined Mum outside and just sat around chatting and keeping a keen eye on what Samson was getting up to but I needn't have worried, he behaved perfectly.

Our garden is quite enclosed and he just explored everywhere brushing up against anything he could.  I guess he was scenting the garden although he hasn't actually sprayed anywhere.  After a while we moved indoors and sat at the dining table by the back door.  Every 10 mins or so Samson would pop back into the kitchen just to announce himself or use the litter tray and then off he'd go back outside again exploring.

So, we've continued to allow him out into the back garden while we're at home and have been bringing him indoors again when we go out.

He doesn't really know how to use the cat-flap yet, he's too polite to barge through it and likes us to hold it open for him

This morning he's been out there with me "helping" with the gardening so I caught some pics.....

Shhhhh, I can hear something in the trees....

Snoozing under the table:

All this exploring is tiring Mum!
