Poor Charlie - the little love must be so fed up.  :catlove2: :catlove2:

Toes will be very painful - I've knocked my little toe in the past and it took months before I was pain free.

If it rains you can have a paddle in your fip flops  :Luv2:

Hope you have a lovely time.

Mary

It's ages since  I updated you all so here goes

Charlie Boy:  Has had a rough time been rushed into vets twice with a blocked bladder and has, on occasions, not peed for 36 hours at a stretch. After discussion with vet and behaviourist it could be the Fluoextine prescribed for his hyperesthesia.  It can be a rare side effect of that so he has has his meds reduced to as low as they can be effective.  The result is, touch wood, his weeing has improved but his hyperesthesia is back.  Anyway as hyperesthesia isn't fatal unless it is seizure related (his isn't) we have to concentrate on the urine issues.

Me: Have two broken toes!  Very painful.  Am off to Hertfordshire and London this coming weekend and will visit Kate and Swampy and Max which I am looking forward to very much.  I will look lovely in flip flops, especially if it rains.  Of course we have had the sadness of the stray cat that Nigel took in.  Otherwise things not too bad, my pains are much better and I feel better in myself.

Hope all of you are well and happy and those of you with sick cats have my thoughts and positive vibes.  Just cos I don't post doesn't mean I don't think of you all

Much love

Charlie and me
« Reply #1 on: June 24, 2009, 22:02:41 PM »
Just a very quick update.  Charlie has been doing very well indeed and after having his meds almost doubled is now reducing.  He is mostly happy, content and affectionate with just an odd bout of anxiety.  I am really happy with his progress mostly

I have finished my tests and have a problem with wear and tear on my right shoulder (have had two cortisone injections which should rectify this completely over the next 4/6 weeks and a trapped nerve in my left elbow which is slowly improving.  The combination of these two things have been causing tension in my neck and up the back of my head making pressure cause my dizzy spells.  After the further nerve diagnostics today I went so dizzy I almost fell over at the  hospital.

Anyway on consultants orders I am to stay off the computer as much as possible and not lean on my left elbow for the forseeable future.

So I have updated you, I am thinking of you all and miss you loads, I truly do.

To everyone with sick cats I am sending my positive thoughts and vibes and I will try to check in from time to time even though I may not post for weeks.

Love and hugs and thanks to you all
Chrissie xx
