Glad he has stopped being sick, even though he seems nauseous. I think you are probably best seeing how you go on with him tomorrow, and maybe asking the vet for advice on Mon, but if he is struggling to get comfortable, that will make him feel worse

Well he hasn't been sick since Thursday and is eating but he obviously has a big problem with acid as he licks his lips and swallows much of the time and he still looks exhausted and fed up.  He sleeps a lot but thats OK - its when he keeps moving from place to place and can't seem to get comfortable that it tugs at my heart strings. I really don't know what to do for the best.   Of all the cats it has been my privilege to share my life with, Korky has always been the most the most docile but also the most difficut to read.  He  just seems to accepts everything - I amost wish he would cry (not really but I'm sure you know what I mean).

I am sorry that he has started to decline again. i hope that he can rally round, but if not, you will do what is right for him - he is a very lucky cat, to have had such good care all these years. Enjoy your weekend with him, you will be in my thoughts.
Please spay your cat

Since his problem in June we gradually saw a return to the Korky of old and I had begun to hope that he might be  good for another year but I fear its not to be.  In the last 2 weeks he has been vomiting most days (up until then he was hardly ever sick).  SEB has had no effect and Pepcid made him worse (apparently it can do that if the numbers are high which Korky's are).  I fear things can only get worse from this point on and I don't want that to happen.  I have to be strong for him and let him go while he still has some dignity.  I don't think he's in pain, just tired and fed up, so we've decided to give him lots of love and cuddles until Monday (when his favourite vet get back from holiday) and if he's no better we'll help him to pass.  My heart is breaking.

I think we may have had a reprieve - I hope it lasts.  His legs are still a problem but he's much brighter in himself and is joining in with life.  Our friends who live in France are visiting and they are Korky's biggest fans (they cat sat for us last year when we came home for a week).  As soon as they arrived Korky was out and jumped (well scrambled) onto Michael's knee purring like a motorbike, and he's no longer hiding under the bed.  He looks more relaxed as well - all week he's looked uncomfortable even when he was asleep.

Well his legs are a bit better this morning - nothing dramatic of course but he was on the bed rather than under it when John got up (not our bed - its what was my mother's bed downstairs) and he went for a little walk outside which is something he hasn't done for about a week so the vibes are having some effect - thank you.  I have another concern now though because he's  not drinking enough. He had upped his intake to keep pace with his increased urination but he seems to have dropped back again so I have to keep trying to encourage him.  If that continues I don't think we'll have long.

I am so sorry to hear this, and it is so much harder when they are still bright in other ways and it is just their legs that let them down. I hope that the next week can show some improvement, and if not, you can find the strength to do the best for your little man.
