Last Friday, I was in the vet picking up some tablets and asked for a home visit for Clapton. She said Tuesday was the earliest so I said that was fine. She asked me to phone late morning on the day to conform the time - which btw I think is annoying as surely they should phone the customer?
Anyway, as requested, I phoned around 12pm on Tuesday and asked what time the vet would be round. I asked who it was and she said my usual vet was on a course so it would either be the owner which would be fine or the woman vet who I have specifically told them I don't want anywhere near my cats (I wasn't happy with the way she was with Clapton, he is a timid cat, not a labrador
) - she said it could be the owner but he had a lot of horse appointments that day but would phone me later - I said if it went to Wednesday, I'm sure that would be fine - she said he would phone me anyway. I didn't get a call that day or Wednesday. I was outside in the alley about an hour ago cleaning up dead pigeon etc and heard the phone ring in the house. I ran in and there was a message from the vet receptionist saying the owner wanted to come over and I was to phone them within 20 minutes. I phoned back and told them to forget it as he was supposed to call me 2 days ago. I am wondering if I have shot off my own foot as it means if I go to a new vet, I will have to pay double for Clapton & Willow's Fortekor (£50 a month instead of £25) - it isn't the first time they have peed me off lately. One thing is the fact that they have 3 surgery dogs running around in there.
Am I overreacting - I admit I am upset about the pigeons but also sick of being walked over by people
