Patio doors open from morning to night - cats coming and going as they please. Bedtime comes and of course we all come back from the main garden and I close the gate to the main garden so they can't wander overnight (can still go outside though). Anyway - biscuits usually does the trick if any are reluctant to come in from main garden - well not Lacie last night! She sat close to patio doors watching me get the others biscuits sorted out, normally she would hop in and go upstairs to have hers, but not last night. So I went to get her - she's too clever for that and beetles off back into main garden before I can shut the gate. Thinks, ok, its only stupid o' clock, I'll leave her for a bit and she'll come in of her own accord - wrong!
Every time I went towards her, she waited till I got just within grabbing distance, and then ran off again up the garden - its pitch flippin black up there and yes, she's white like a ghost, but she's quick
Funny game, NOT. I admitted defeat and told her she could
stay out there then! I swear she gave me a look that said 'am I bovvered?'
So guess who didnt get much sleep worrying about the little so and so all night (what was left of it anyway) - and who was up at 4 am to see if she was desperate to come in - well, no she wasnt, I looked out the window, and saw her right up the end of the garden sat on top of the shed, without a care in the world! and when I eventually went downstairs and opened the gate, she casually sauntered down the path - like oh, is it breakfast time? goody, cos I missed out on my bedtime biscuits don't you know!
Repeat performance tonight? - watch this space
