Well, Sam has just finished his ab's, he was reluctant for me to look at his mouth, so when my sis was here, I got her to hold him - the side he really wont let me look at doesn't look too bad (althoguh still red), yet the side he will let me look at is the worst, so 8 days of Antirobe hasn't fully cleared it. My vet is on holiday for another week though, and as much as she said the locum was nice, I dont really want to see another vet, as she wont know what he was like before. i will ring and see if she will give some more ab's just until my normal vet is back though, and if not, I will wait - it hasn't stopped him eating or chewing the new fishing rod toy, certainly hasn't stopped him picking on other cats (I tried to stop him this morning so he sprayed on the banister to distract me from grounding him!!). He has been a bit quiet since then, but only in that he has been content to lie on the floor rather than go outside, he had a really energetic play session, never seen him flip so well in the air, and some nice cuddles. He has defintely put weight on, so now i just need to figure out a mix to maintain him, as I think he is a good weight now, so hopefully we can hold off his bloods for another 2 months. I think i am going to permanently take him off the rehoming list, I dont think I would trust anyone to keep an eye on him, as he shows no signs whatsoever of things bothering him, I can't imagine eating the amount he has this week (nearly 500g of biscuits, plus wet food and cat milk) with such an inflamed mouth.
