Catnip help! german translation

Yep I just worked that bit out too    The general rule with German is that if you get a great long word, it's probably lots of little words stuck together, so if you put logical looking individual parts into google translate, you will probably find their meaning.  If you put in Torf it does say peat, put in kugel and it says ball, and that gives you a vague idea of what it's talking about. 

I remember going to see Bridget Jones II in the cinema in Switzerland, it was English with subtitles, and at one point, Hugh Grant said "Why don't you tell me, in detail, about your school netball tour, particularly the unsavoury incident in the communal showers."  I couldn't help but to laugh out loud when the translation at the bottom of the screen had "the unsavoury incident in the communal showers" all as one great long word which took up the entire bottom of the screen!  No one else found it the slightest bit amusing

Torfkugeln are those peat ball / plug things btw.

Torf = peat, kugeln = balls

I can remember that much from my german classes at school...

  The disc has been soaked and the seeds strewn so fingers crossed there will be sproutlets soon

ok the Torfkugelchen is actually the name of the little balls that swell up when you add the water in the glass or cup. Painful!

Thanks Tan, so im soaking the disc to make it swell, i will strew more then a couple of seeds or the 6 of them will need to fight for a seedling to nibble on 
It nearly went in the pot for good luck.

Guidance

1. Place they a Torfkugelchen pushing in a small pot or glasss.  Add 1/4 cup water . The disk becomes vergrossern and offnen.

2. Take intierior - catnip - the seeds from the bag and strew a few  of it on the Torfkugelchen - disk.

3. Cover the seeds with no more than 8mm peat and keep the plants always damp, bright and warm . They will germinate within 5-7 days.

4. If the seedlings are 7cm is high, separate  carefully into a pot with a 15cm diameters. In 45-90 days they should have reached a high one of 60-90 cm.

Ah yes - I think the disc thing confused me too.  That's why mine are still in their packaging!  I shall watch this thread with interest..

Yes they are! I get the bits about soil and keeping warm to germinate but the disc confuses me!
Iv tried 5 translators and the disc info is left in german    how annoying!

Are they from zooplus?  I have some from there and can't read the instructions either!  Although I did put them into an online translator and got the gist.

Can anybody here speak German? I have some catnip seeds to plant but the instructions need to be translated 
Iv tried a few free online translating engines but they muddle it up quite bad!
Theres a round disc ( Torfkugelchen Scheibe??) in with the seeds and its that im not sure what to do with!

Heres whats on the instruction sheet:
Anleitung
1. Stellen sie die Torfkugelchen-Schiebe in einen kleinen Topf oder Glas. Geben Sie 1/4 Tasse Wasser dazu. Die Scheibe wird sich vergrossern und offnen.

2. Nehmen Sie die intierior - catnip - samen aus dem Beutel und streuen Sie ein paar davon auf die Torfkugelchen - Scheibe.

3. Bedecken Sie die Samen mit nicht mehr als 8mm Torf und halten Sie die Pflanzen immer leicht feucht, hell und warm. Sie werden innerhalb von 5-7 Tagen keimen.

4. Wenn die Setzlinge 7cm hoch sind, separieren Sie bitte vorsichtig in einen Topf mit einem 15cm Durchmesser. In 45-90 Tagen sollten sie eine Hohe von 60-90 cm erreicht haben.

5. Wenn moglich, konnen Sie die Pflanzen dann auch draussen im Garten anpflanzen. Sie sind winterfest und konnen sich jahrelang weiterentwickeln, wenn sie nicht vorher von Ihrer Katze "niedergeknutscht" wurde. Unsere Catnip-Pflanzen bevorzugen gut trockene, kalkreiche Erde und 8-10 Stunden Sonnenlicht taglich.
