One of mine started over grooming her arms after she had fleas, till they were bald. The vet thought it was physiological, as in her still feeling the fleas on her

Could be as simple as anal glands  i hope she recovers soon

It could, our Schui used to pluck that area when if his anal glands needed expressing .  My sister's cat also did this but they couldn't find a cause sometimes it can just be a habit like biting nails or boredom or stress, as well as skin disorders - there's lots of causes.  I'd as the vet though.
Please consider the harder to home cats in rescue.

Yes I would get the vet to have a look as they may spot what it is straight away or do a skin scrape to double check, etc - best of getting a vets opinion and then start eliminating the possible factors that way hun x

Would be worth a vet check to be honest. Most likely causes are skin condition, flea allergy or over grooming due to stress. My parent's cat did exactly the same and they found he had a flea allergy... mum was suprised as he's frontlined once a month but the vet upped his flea treatments to every 3 weeks and since, he's been fine and the hair's grown back. It isn't necessarily that but likley to be something that's easily sorted so I'm sure the vet can help.  They're such a worry, aren't they?

my little cat pooka, she seems fine but iv noticed shes got a wee bald patch on her back(right at the bottom where her tail starts)  she keeps licking it,and thats why its went bald.  :(

it doesnt seem to hurt or anything cos she lets me stroke that part, but iv de-flead then a few weeks back.so they shud be fine, plus they are indoor cats but i just thot id take an extra precaution.

she seems fine, but i dont understand why shes licking herself bald!

help please... :(
