I am the same, and I feel guilty because they were so nice to me on the Hovel, but I got confused on there (managed to totally post in the wrong thread  ) and I realised everyone from CC had seemed to go here!

To think I might not see those eyes, makes it so hard not to cry, and as we say our long goodbyes, I nearly do.

I was a "lurker" on cat chat for ages before I plucked up courage to post, then I loved it.  It's just a big family atmosphere, and there's so much knowledge available at the tap tap tap of the keyboard.  Brill !   And there's the Quiz, an the Arcade, and the Cat Basket an-an- - allsorts!!  :wow:   Bu then I suppose in the initial shock of losing Cat Chat, I was one of those who registered at The Hovel - great site and everything, but I seldom posted, because I prefer Purrs.    :)

I belong to a forum (not cat related) and Ive never dared post, everyone seems to know each other and Im nervous of butting in.  Purrs was different I had been on cat chat and even dared post and lurked a lot so I seemed to know people even if they didn't know me.

Shecat, I'm exactly the same! Funny, it's usually said that people lose all their inhibitions on the internet, because of the anonymity, but it doesn't always work that way, eh!

Don't be embarassed, shecat! I remember how much courage it took me to do my first post on the internet (CC, about exactly one year ago). I didn't know anyone and I probably only sort of know one or two now but I've learnt so much and hope that I have been able to contribute with auctions etc. towards the greater good of cats.

Sometimes I think its shyness.

I belong to a forum (not cat related) and Ive never dared post, everyone seems to know each other and Im nervous of butting in.  Purrs was different I had been on cat chat and even dared post and lurked a lot so I seemed to know people even if they didn't know me.  When Purrs started we were all shocked together and it became easier to post.  So if these unborn kittens would dare they would soon find out that we would  them all and they would soon find out what they are missing :Luv: Purrs is a wonderful place to be and all :Flowers: To Tan and everyone that makes this place so perfect.  Now Im  :-[

They don't know what they are missing.

Indeed!

I think that some people probably register to ask a question then find it answered in another thread so don't bother.

With not much to do except the end of year returns for Cats Protection which should already be in but I just cannot be bothered. I was looking at the Member list and note there are a number of unborn kittens that signed on and then  not come back, some on the first day. I do hope they have not mummified, as they should at least be a kitten by now.
