Sorry Leigh,

As others have said. As bad as it is, the most important things are safe and sound. I was burgled along with my next-door neighbour when I lived in London and know how awful it feels.

To put a slightly positive spin on it, I upgraded my camera and video and got £5,000 for my CD collection on the insurance which was a godsend as I was massively in debt. It probably wasn't worth that but the police kindly helped me put a valuation on my collection and said to get the insurance company to contact them if they gave me any grief.  ;D

Lets hope they catch the scum - my partner was burgled in London and amazingly the burglar was arrested after bragging on a train and being overheard. They had DNA from a 1/2 eaten chocolate bar.

DO NOT BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

It is so upsetting when that happens, and on top of worrying about your mum too. Thank goodness they ignored the cats.

My biggest worry while we still live in London is not being burgled, but being burgled and them finding Lexy. I have extra locks on my front door because of this. My area is pretty good, my neighbour is home all day so we always have a some kind of presence there. That and he's a high school teacher and any "kids" avoid the house like the plague.  Still worries me silly. Possessions can be replaced, over time the invasion of privacy you feel will disappear, but you can never replace your babies.

Hi folks,

Whilst I was out at work or visiting my mum in hospital yesterday I was burgled as was the flat below me/ They stole laptops in both flats got through the main entry door and both of our front doors. Thank heavens they didn't let the cats out. Also got this web address from my laptop so I've changed my password.

 :censored:s

Cheers
