I don't think that you are moaning at all Pav and obviously something isn't right you know that, it's not just the jumping thing.  I would probably try her without the appetite stimulant for a day but more importantly I'd go back to the vet and say exactly what you've said here now.  I would ask her to investigate further, poor girl

Thanks Janey, but she doesn't flinch or quiver,well she does quiver some times , and yes its a bit like when we jump when dosing off or hiccup but with her its not when she relaxes,as i said before as  soon as  she is on my knee i feel it , so it must be happening most of the times. The thing is she hardly relaxes even when she is on my knee she just sits like a statue! But also in last few days she cant settle she just keep walking around and cries either really loud or just pitiful meowing I am thinking maybe she is in pain that's why she cant settle and what about if she is eating only because of periactin that i am giving her?
Maybe i should stop the periactin and see if she eats without and if she doesn't then some thing is wrong!Her tummy looks huge as well but the vet said its gas and he cant feel anything in there, also the number of times she uses the tray its almost every hour which is not normal or is it? Tbh in last few days i have been so stressed seeing her like this that i am having this terrible pain in my hand and arm and it doesn't go away . I think i better stop moaning, i just see how it goes this weekend.

I must be cracking up I typed a longish post yesterday and it's not here  I mustn't have pressed send! I'll try and remember what I put 

Does it always happen when she's relaxed and purring? When Byron's sat next to me or on my knee and I'm doing something like reading if I accidentally touch her she flinches each time I do that - but I suppose that can't be it or you'd have noticed?  Byron has also started to quiver alot when I'm stroking her and she's relaxing - it doesn't always happen but that's weird too.  I wonder whether it's some neurological, relaxation thing that's going on with Phoebe you know about like we sometimes jump when dosing off (I'm guessing Byron's is) Byron never quivered before so maybe it's just changes as they get older.  I suppose all you can do is ask your vet again but if Phoebe seems to be content when it happens (like Byron is) I probably wouldn't worry too much, if only we knew what all these odd little things they get were all about

I don't know if it works on cats (!) but hops is the latest thing for relaxing and sleep and it does seem to help

Hi nice, she doesn't have fleas, i treat her regularly with stronghold.

can you take a little video clip of it happening and the new tray behaviour, maybe to show the vet what you mean?

Kate the vet saw what was happening 3 weeks ago when she was there to be shaved and for her tests, thats when i was told its purring!!
I got her some Organic Valerian compound today from the vet to put on her bedding, just to see if it helps her to calm and relax a bit , incase not using the tray is caused by stress.
I told the VN i should get some Valerian for my self and put it on my pillow to help me get some sleep!

Janey is not from throat and i am sure is not hiccup, its all over her body and it just continues from light to strong ones, its like some thing attacking her inside which makes her shake or jump!!What is worrying is that it just goes on and don't stop.
IF its indigestion as Kate mentioned then it must be very uncomfortable for her and i am thinking maybe that's why she doesn't use the tray , she goes inside it but like a male cat keeps her tail up and shake it and then shoots out , she must be doing it because she is not well? i also noticed yesterday she has 2 bald patches where i can see her skin and its on her back.
I am going to my vet to collect Boys medication today i see if he is available to have a chat? I realy dont know what else to do?

I dont think I have ever seen this but suspect its nothing to worry about

Max does this sometimes but I think it's indigestion from his urea being high.  Vet's not keen on pepcid for some reason, but prefers Zantac or plain yoghurt. HTH

 I don't know how to describe this but in last couple of weeks since Phoebe started siting on my knee i noticed she has this movements its like when one has hiccup some times is light and some times it makes her jump its hard to describe it but you can only notice the movements if she is sitting on your lap  I told my vet about it last time she was there and was sedated to see if he noticed anything but i was told they think its her purring I really don't think so.
I know she hasn't been well lately but was wondering if any one has ever experienced this with their cat? If its serious or not.
