I long term foster FIVs for Catworks in Somerset and for the Moggery in Bristol and have a number of my own. Unfortunately, as Gill says, I am not able to take in any more at the moment. It might be worth cross posting on Catchat. Would you like me to do that for you Andrea?

Thank you Moira. Yes if you could cross post that would be great :)

Moira I believe has as many cats as she can cope with at the moment, cos she took in Tina who is still there  ;D

yes I believe so too
Please consider the harder to home cats in rescue.

I can't think who that is.
DO NOT BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

They are in Kent funnily enough. I think they have tried local ones and they are full and so there trying further a field.

Isnt there someone on here who takes in FIV's, cant remember if they foster for a rescue and who they are now?

Whereabouts are they?

Rhodes Minnis Cat Sanctuary, near Folkestone in Kent has an FIV section as well as a feral colony living a wonderful life in a large enclosed area which is like a tennis court but with enrichment.

I just looked at the FIV info and they have taken in cats from London & Oxford. I guess it is a matter of space - worth a call though.

The other one to try is Foal Farm - Also in Kent http://www.foalfarm.org.uk/

Also might be worth speaking to CP HQ in Sussex.

Hi all, sorry to hijack thread but was wondering also if there is any FIV friendly rescues who can help.

I have been contacted by a rescue down south who have over 50 cats in now and due another 70 in. Most are ferral but there are some tame ones (8) I have offered if I can with the tame ones as I dont have fosterers for ferrals. However the rescue has come back saying nearly all the ones tested so far are FIV+ and 2 more to test. We dont take in FIV= cats as we cant find fosterers for them so was wondering if anyone knows of a rescue that could help that specialise with cats with FIV and the care they need?
