I'm too frightened to have anything elevated in the garden as I worry about it compromising the cat proofing.  I even oomhed and aahed about leaving a sack of bark chippings laying flat as it gave them an extra few inches!

Maybe you could run to 2 sacks? LOL!  :rofl: You could put something away from the boundaries though. I havent got cat proofing in the main garden but I still put the post far enough away from the boundaries so that its not an invitation for them to go over the fence.

It certainly does keep him in, he has tried every which way to escape, even tried to chew through it.  However I have put netting across the top to keep the birds out so even if I elevate stuff he can't get out.
