My little burmese, Serendipity, used to sit under my chair happily chewing through the wool as it came out of the bag. I would only realise this when I reached a damp patch and ran out of wool about 3 stitches from the end of a particularly intricate bit of fair isle ... I also had cats who would sit across my shoulders, which is quite restricting when knitting. They would dig their claws in if I tried to knit with too much vigour. I have given up knitting pretty well since owning cats. My main problem at the moment is Smidgen who tries to catch the sewing machine needle as it comes down ... very disconcerting ... :scared:

I used to love to knit but I have done very little since being owned by puds.  I'd be daft to even think about it with Mosi around  :innocent:

Reminds me of Chloe and my lavender bag making session .....

First of all, she tried to chew the ribbon I was using to close the sachets.

I thought if I gave her her own piece she would be happy.  Oh no!!

She came up onto the table for another piece and S N E E Z E D .

You can imagine the result - lavender flowers every which way!

Those people who received them for presents are not (hopefully) aware that there were some with added cat-snot and fluff in them!! :naughty:

Another knitter (and spinner 8)) here. Mine are pretty good about my knitting, though i have taken to hiding the ball of yarn under the duvet as Penguin can't resist the occasional pounce. :evillaugh: The worst though is Ginny with my spinning fibre, she's a nightmare, can't seem to help herself  i end up trying to spin from a matted, chewed, soggy lump of fluff, instead of the nice smooth soft fibre i start with. :naughty: She's forgiven though, she's angelic in all other ways. :innocent: :Luv2:

Mine love to watch me knit.

Except Lirael who chews on the ends of the needles as I knit (which makes it way more difficult).

i have just started knitting again (yes i am 24!) and was doing some yesterday.
jasper was on my dads lap across the room....  then suddenly a demonic look took him over....  and he pounced at me needle!!!!  it was very scary - he had his full on hunting face on and it wasnt nice being the wrong end!!!!  he's a good boy really though, so no damage was done to me, the needle, jasper, or the wool.  but he was very interested in it after!!!

when i make jewellery he sits watching me like a possessed thing, or when he's being really helpful gets somewhat closer....  a big black cat with an uncontrollable tail + hundreds of tiny beads = messy but rather funny combination!!!   :evillaugh:

precious little things arent they  :Luv:
