Here are some piccies for you all from Day 3!  :Luv2:   Babies are getting everything from mum and are HUGE!!!!

Enjoy!     Its hard to think when you look at some of the pics below that Skye was a raging aggressive and fearful cat when she arrived.  :Luv2:

more to follow soon! :)

thanks guys!

Well mummy has been very good with the babies overnight with only a few screams from kittens wandering and getting lost or mummy accidently lying on them.  She is very attentive to them, except when you are in the room and wants attention!  lol :Luv2:

We are hoping that by helping her with the birth, etc it is helping towards building her trust and fingers crossed that we can make real progress with her so that we can find her a new home once the babies are up and away!  :)

I have to admit I was glad that she didn't start at 2am.... and at least I managed to get some sleep last night! :)

Mum Skye is doing really really well. Which if I'm honest has surprised me a tad.  She has been with us throughout her pregnancy and to say she was fiery when she arrived would be a massive understatement!      At only 15 months old, her 2nd pregnancy and with her temper broken from a home with :censored: kids and constant stress she was not a happy bunny.   After weeks of patience and working with her we finally got to start tickling her chin and head rubs about 3 weeks ago so I was amazed when she was SOOO good this morning.

As soon as I went to check on her she came right up to me and almost sat on my knee for the whole thing. (wasn't in the most comfortable position on the floor... but she was and that was what mattered.)

Skye has slept soundly since and is completely exhausted and babies are curled up nicely with mummy.   She is so proud of them too and when you pop in to check on them she will roll over and show them off  :Luv2:

Am now off for a cuppa and some 'me' time.... but hope to get some better piccies to show off the babies and mummy later! :)

« Reply #1 on: April 01, 2009, 09:47:19 AM »
we have new life here at the harbour with the arrival of 6 gorgeous little kittens.  3 black and 3 tabbies.

Skye gave birth at 6.30 this morning and so far mum and babies seem to be doing well.

I have attached a very bad pic taken on my mobile first thing this am... will get more later for you all :Luv2:

Well done Skye!  ;D
