I am sure that there has been a lost ad before on Swad freecycle. Someone I know in Overseal put an ad on as her puppy had been seen being put into the back of a car.

I am a member of both Swad and Burton Freecycle, but as I understand it, pet ads of ANY kind are not allowed - even if they are for found pets!!!

Many thanks for the list of web sites.
So far we have put found notices on quite a few of these sites but there are some here we haven't come across, so I will go and visit these sites tomorrow.

Unfortunately he doesn't have a microchip (the first thing we had checked out), but we will not be giving up easily on trying to find his owners - someone must be heartbroken!

He is friendly and quite a character and is beginning to get on with our other four cats, so at least he has some pay mates whilst we try to find where he comes from!

Have put up another picture so that if people arent sure this might help.

Has he been checked for a microchip?  Your local vet should be able to do this for you.

oh dear - he could have arrived there from almost anywhere - if he jumped into a car or lorry his owners might not have the slightest idea what happened - but lucky for him he has somewhere nice to stay

Found Saturday March 7th at the Midway Pub/Petrol station (Midway, Swadlincote, South Derbyshire) on the A511, a young (would guess at about 7-10 months old), black and white ('Felix' look-a-like) neutered male cat. No collar and no chip Very much affectionate and talkative.
Obviously much loved as his condition is excellent.
We also have to consider this young cat could have arrived here by car, given where he was found.
Until his owner is found he is staying here with us.
