that's brilliant Debbie! Byron isn't too bad but I'm always up really early usually before 6 and of course she and the ferals are fed first! but I've always wondered how good they are eg if you are out and they sound ideal

I have a somewhat more bizarre method (hey works for me) in that the boys supper is served on a tray in my bedroom (they are confined upstairs at night as my bro gets home from work 3-6 am and doesn't want to let the cats out) so I take an extra pouch up with me and it is sleep served... I rarely remember serving it but I do and the cats are happy

Sounds good Helen
With my previous two I could put a little dry food out at night and they would go down around 6 am or so and eat and then they would go back to sleep and we wouldn't even hear them. These 3 devour anything the minute I put it down so there is no chance of us doing that, not yet anyway. I'm hoping in time they will become less obsessed with food, it's still early days. I think as they were neglected before we had them and probably had to find their own food they think they must eat everything in sight while they can. I have seen improvement in that department with the two girls but the boy still eats like he doesn't know where his next meal is coming from!
Or is that a man thing!

It's life changing isn't it
I've been doing it for years now, my two boys are actually trained so that if I (very rarely
) forget to set the feeder they don't wake me up as they don't associate pestering me with breakfast anymore

As some of you know we have had our 3 cats 8 weeks now and from day one they have woken us up really early every morning for breakfast. In the beginning they would leap on the bed, walk all over us (in a way they still do
), stick all body parts in our faces until we gave in and fed them. We got wise after a while and started closing the bedroom door at night which was a wee dissapointment as our previous two girls always slept on our bed and hardly disturbed us at all and I was hoping these would do the same. Well, anyway with door closed they would sit outside and scratch to get in early in the morning. They are fine at night but come daybreak it starts. They usually chase each other up and down the stairs and wake the household until breakfast is served! Yesterday I bought a double feeder with a timer from PAH and last night we set it for 6 am hoping for the best. Three cats, two feeding bowls with flip up lids, it was the best they had! Bit flimsy and a bit pricey at £30 squid in my opinion but I bought it anyway. Woke naturally this morning around 7.30 to the sound of......silence!!!
Empty feeder and contented felines!
