Just an update.. all kittens have found homes (they are going in pairs) and they will be packing their bags early May. Mum is still on meds but doing well.. but not really ready to be spayed yet.

I am chuffed that we managed to rehome 4 blk kittens.. sometimes its abit hard work..

Cannot save the world, but if everyone does something we can have a jolly good job trying too....

Mum puss Callie may have a problem with her pancreas. She's had the trots for a while not but vet James is trying a new treatment regime.  :shy:

Callie won't be going back to her kittens now as she needs a good rest. The kittens are fine and staying with another fosterer. We recieved these piccies today.

I met the mum cat today  :Luv2:

The fosterer (I forget her name) was collecting her when I was collecting Willow - she has been in for a dodgy tum and left with meds amd prokolin.

They have Caroline to thank as it was she who wouldn't give up looking.  :briggin:

Mum cat, Callie, has developed a slight case of the trots we are told. Sharn says she's not concerned as she looks so bright and breezy so it must just be the shock of being rescued after a week in an empty house. Callie is also stuffing food in her gob like it's going out of fashion... and why shouldn't she, bless her!  :wow: :evillaugh: Sharn says the kittens have perked up a lot today and seem more active. We think Callie must be at last getting enough food to make enough milk now and Callie does seem a good mum as you can see.  :naughty:

Great picture, Sharon!  :Luv:

You lot and your pictures!

They are now at our fosterers so I will see what I can do. But have you ever tried taking photos of tiny black kittens?  :evillaugh:

We had a rugby scrum amoung the fosterers as to who was going to care for them. Everyone wanted the first kittens to the year! In the end Sharn won before there was too much blood shed.  Liz is looking after the pregnant puss but has bitten her finger nails to the bone in anticipation of labour starting.

This is that rare time that only lasts about 2 weeks were we are pleased to see the signs of spring.  :naughty:

Thanks guys.  :naughty:

I think part of the problem was we were expecting kittens at least 2-3 weeks old. The housing lady had said she'd seen them in the house a week ago, so naturally we were looking for kittens capable of bouncing around and playing.  :sneaky: We now realise they could have only been a day or two old when she saw them, so of course they were still in a little ball sleeping a lot. A bit like looking for a lost pair of socks.  :evillaugh:

sad start to the story  -but relieved that

1. You got the Girls
2. The kittens were found safe - shudder to think if Caroline hadn't gone back
3. Mum Settled to feed her babies.

It would be great if all stories had this happy ending   xxxx
