And all went very smoothly! Contrary to general advice, I decided to let them have the run of the house almost as soon as they were in, as I was busy trying to get things in order and I didn't want to shut them in the kitchen as there's no soft stuff in there! They seemed keen to explore, and within a day were acting like their usual selves. Now, 6 days later, they are starting to establish favourite spots, although I'm sure that will change over time. They are showing a more than passing interest in the catflap, but I won't be letting them out for another week or two - basically once I am back at work and we have all established a routine.
The only downside is that sometimes the neighbours' kids are horrendously noisy, which wakes us all up early in the morning, and keeps us up very late at night. (why don't they discipline their kids? they seem to run riot (from the sound of it), banging on the walls and radiators, slamming doors and screaming at the tops of their voices at all hours
) Given that, unless things improve, I don't think we'll be staying here long
I like my sleep. Why can't people have cats instead of kids? MUCH less troublesome!
