No, misty didn't get his BP taken  :scared: I didn't take his HR though, OH is a nurse and I got her to do it  ;) ( she's got her own Stethoscope  :evillaugh: )
I gave Misty His Fortekor yesterday and he gagged a couple of times  :(
So this morning I just presented it to Him and He took it out of my hand and ate it  :wow: :evillaugh:
should try and get it on film LOL

yes, more sunshine please!  Did Misty have bp taken as the vet here is more fussed about that than variations in heart rate? The 2 probably go together as a reaction to stress (or calm) anyhow. I'm impressed that you could take his heart rate Stuart as it's pretty hard to do! Sounds good if he's charging about though

I should have mentioned that those figures the vet quoted were for resting HR.  Obviously rushing around (and stress) can push it up. What I don't know is whether there is as much variation in what a vet thinks is normal as there is in quoted normal ranges on the internet  :-:

Thanks Carol  :)
the last time I had Misty to the vet, I asked her to check his heart rate for HT, she said his heart rate was over 200  :(
I had just driven 27 miles and Misty is not a good traveller, and said to the vet would that not cause it to be over 200
she did agree, but later, I got to thinking what is normal ?? I mean she never told me, then again I never asked

thanks again

There seems to be a wide range or 'normal' values as you have discovered but I would say that 170-180 is pretty average.  My vet says he only worries if its consistently less than 120 or more than 200.

Have had a look on the internet, and there is a wide spectrum of what is normal 110 - 240  :-:
so I thought Id ask you lot  :)

OH just measured Mistys heart rate and estimated 170 bpm (stating she may have missed a couple, so could be 180 bpm tops)  :scared:

anyone any ideas ???
