Spot on Wormer

I use Profender on Max, as I can never get the Drontal tablets down him

I use frontline for travellers.

Did use drontal, but the problems i had last time, i dont fancy going thru that again.
And have one extra little madam with extremly sharp teeth & claws.

I sometimes do Stronghold and Droncit to do the full course, but my vet didn't say anything different when I Asked if it could be done a couple of days apart - I Will check tomorrow, as Tino hasn't been wormed yet.

Ours get Milbex 1 whole tablet regardless of weight - Robin sometimes gives the large Boys 2 of them and we use program injectin to cover the others and currently we are all flea and worm free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont like Droncit as you have to use 2 tubes, how pointless is that as many cats dont like it being done 

I agree!  - they have already taken flight on the first squeeze - not only that, but Droncit only does tapeworm

The other thing to remember is that you cannot use spot on wormers and flea treatments at the same time........my vet advises two weeks apart.

I notice on Sasas last bill she was given an injection of wormer, cos she was put out to be properley health check cos I was worried about her and she had fleas.

Also interesting cos she was given two pippets of stronghold, guess her being a semi feral made them do as much as they could for her in one go.

I did get the we are not amused look when she fell out of her carrier cos she was still rather dopy!

I think Profender is about £6 or £7 at my vets, not too bad if you only have to worm the cat every 3 months.

Your other options are going to come from the vet:
advocate and stronghold do roundworm/fleas/earmites but not tapeworm
profender does roundworm/tapeworm
milbemax is a tablet but is much smaller and is now made flavoured, cats upto 4kg need half a one and it treats roundworm/tapeworm.

In theory a cat without fleas shouldnt suffer with tapeworm but as most cats come from bad backgrounds its wise to treat them

I have used Profender before, has to be bought from your vet though....wasnt expensive

We use Advocate - its what the breeder uses and seems to work fine.  I also use milbemax every 3 months aswell.

There is a spot on wormer called Profender that covers all worms but is only available on prescription (or via the vets)

My vets spot on worm sasa and ducha but cant remember what its called....just ask your vets for some

Hi,  Would just like to ask which is the best "spot-on" wormer. I have given up on the idea of tablets as have so much trouble getttin
them to take them.  So drontal tablets are a deffo NO  this time, as last they were stressed out & out hands were cut to bits   

Does the Droncit spot on, work in the same way as the Drontal.
