I like purrrrfect pensioners  :)

I think it is a good idea to do some "caught in the act" or "best friends" type categories...

Now I just need to get my lot to sit STILL and not look away at the last minute when I am taking a pic like they normally do  :innocent: :)

Gill, the simple way around that is for the peeps in question to ask permission from the photog. It's that easy. I've just given permission for my local branch of CP to use one of my shots in a newsletter. Thing is, it is a legal obligation to do so - copyright laws and stuff. Basically, you need to cover your arse so that you don't get shot at.

I still think the easiest thing to do (and it is a common requirement in photo comps / photo cat shows because of copyrighting laws) is stipulate that all the entries must have been taken by the person submitting the photos. If you get into trouble, it can get expensive.

Classes - what do you have in mind, Gill? I'd certainly split by colour, and poss by coat length depending on number of entries, then have some additional fun classes as well e.g. cutest kitten, most amusing, caught in the act etc.

All I can say Witty is that its very sad if you pay tio have pictures taken and then cant do what you like with them, within reason of course  :'(

Anyway I will leave the photo thing to the peeps who have had them taken.

What I need now is some suggestions for the name of the class that I need  ;D

It does apply, Gill. Usually pro taken photos are subject to contract regarding reproduction and sharing the images outside of agreed useage. If a photog who has taken pro shots finds his or her work reproduced and shared without permission, it could leave the person who posted the stuff having to pay additional useage fees and / or going down the legal route.

I've had it done to me by a major UK daily paper - it isn't worth even going there.

Just one thing to bear in mind regarding professionally taken photos - entering them into a competition without the photographer's permission is a breach of copyright and useage rights.

The best way around this is to not enter photos taken by someone else - they must be your own work.

Definately they are all qulaity cats but what I trying to say is that professional photos will not be given any preference at all

Bengals are tabbies....................I tthink not

I will be announcing classses and stuff in due course but there will be noooooooooooooooo insider dealing

My goodness I gotta watch you lot like a hawk, you be taking advantage of me  :'(

All I can say is that there will be loads of classes for everyoone to enter their cats in, pedigree and moggie, old and young but I need some help.......................I need a name for a class of cats that will be 15yrs old plus................not Senior please.

One more thing, this will be to raise money for a needy cat or cats or rescue so dig out the photos that show your cat off the best, maybe more than one cos for every class you enter you can put a different picture of that cat. Then you will be ready to email them to me when entrance opens. No mini pictures please cos I can resize them, you want your cats to be seen  ;D ;D ;D
