Leigh glad you and the boys are moved and all is going well

let them keep a couple of boxes - ours still have 2 of themcovered in blankies, held together with tape but all have a turn still sleeping on them and with a blankie they become handy places to put cups etc!

yay good news!!! Glad all went smoothly - hopefully a harbinger for me, because at the moment it seems there is still a lot of fiddly tiddly stuff to worry about. Might have another glass of red and forget about it till morning - can always sort it out then. After all I have until 8 am before the removalists arrive ....  Tell Leigh I expect to find pix when I log in next from Tasmania (no you are still stuck with me for a few more days before I go into terra nullius ..)

Heya guys, I've just spoken to Leigh, and the move has gone brilliantly!!!

The removal guys were apprently fantastic, and he is now settled with Frankie and Alfie who seem very chilled out following their moving expereince.  In fact, Frankie was sitting on Leigh's lap purring away and Alfie has been eating for England, so all very good news indeed  ;D

All the boxes are now a giant kitty playground, but I'm assured that much as the boys love them, the boxes will be unpacked and normal service will be resumed  :evillaugh:

I've told him about all your messages, and he wanted me to pass on his thanks for all your well wishes, and he'll be back on Purrs just as soon as he's connected with phone and internet again  :)

Good luck Leigh! I will look forward to catching up with your news once I too return to the real world on the other side of the world. But, even having to contend with BT, I suspect you will be back  on line before me     Glad you had the sense to connect the bed as a priority - it is what I do when I move - make up the bed to perfection, then you have somewhere to collapse when you suddenly realise that opening one more box will render you unconscious ...

Good morning folks,

I am sitting here all bleary-eyed and surrounded by what looks like a cardboard box convention :). 99.99999% packed and almost ready to roll. Been visiting my new flat over the wekend, all the deliveries on Saturday went very well, fridge, washing machine installed and working, ALL! flat packed furniture assembled and in place, even the dreaded chest of drawers which in the end didn't turn out to be such a nightmare as I had envisaged. The bed on the other hand was a complete and utter nightmare to assemble and three of us took four hours and I had to go back with a friend yesterday to finish the job but I, and the boys, have something to slleep on tonight :).

The delivery guys get here about 8:30 and a friend is driving the boys and I over at about 10:30/11. How many men my age get the chance to say "follow that van!"?. :)

I shall be disconnecting and packing the computer now and will be entering a communications black hole with no phone, internet etc. for a while and till I can arrange for them to be connected please let me take the opportunity to personally thank all my friends on Purrs for their kindness and support during the many months of stress that I've been eduring whilst this has all been going through.

Much happiness and health to you and your puds, see you on the other side of the moon, er, I mean move :)

Sincerely

Leigh, Alfie and Frankie
