well you're not going to believe what's just happened!!! the wee tike.
Went out getting everyone else fed and watered for the night, went into the hall and glanced into the sitting room (where Colby is) Looking through the glass at me are Herbie, Misty and a little black cat..... mmmm but we don't have a little black cat in there..... OMG Its Colby!!!!
The wee rascal has found a gap in the bars of his cage big enough for him to get through cos he's so darn skinny!!!! Got out so he could be with Herbie... when I went in he was just quite happily following nurse Herbie around!!! <sigh> what a wee tike.
Paul has had to cable tie the gaps in the cage in a bid to try and stop him getting out again!!
YOu know all this has happened in the last few hours and I truly truly hope that it is as promising as it seems and not false hope for him to fall at the next hurdle. he is such a little fighter so please please lets hope that this progress continues albeit perhaps I think it will be with some hilarity.
Janey - Yes you are so right... the difference we have seen in little Colby this afternoon just in bringing him home and giving him love and tending to him and making sure he has clean bedding, etc has been amazing from the very low, depressed little kitten that wouldn't even lift his head at 2pm today!
His little tummy has gone right down now and he has dispelled quite a bit of poo so hoping that most of it is cleared
Liz - mmmmmm do I sense someone has fallen head over heels for little Colby!?? lol fingers crossed
