its the only thing we can think of to be honest.... rather complicated to explain but lets just say that his little bottom is rather disfigured and nothing like it should be at the moment.  Hopefully in the morning we will be a little bit more informed  :scared:

and are now starting to think that his exit is healed up!

Blimey, I didn't think that would be possible! Nature can do some odd things at times.

More positive vibes for Colby. His poor little bot must be so sore... perhaps he's become a little phobic about pooing?  :Luv:

Bless him - well I have to admit I dont think any of us would like our botties proded and poked would we - but he is a brave little solider -  could the vets give him a anesethic (spelling) cream? - bit like the stuff you can get for hemeroids?

Silly question i know, but if he,s got some sort of infection inside his bum, could he be stopping himself from pooing because it hurts  :scared:

no not silly.... its actually what we are currently thinking "may" be causing some of the problem.   he's had big cuddles this avo and did manage to play 'a little' so at least he is feeling OK in himself :luv2:    Although not impressed with us poking at his wee botty every 20 mins or so!!!

Try not to despair too much, you are doing everything possible for little Colby ,its still early days and youth is on his side. We lost count of the number of enemas young Pedro needed.
If Colby needs another enema would it be worth asking vet to do a barium xray at the same time? that way you would be able to see what you are dealing with.
Sending lots of    and positive vibes.

The appetite is a good sign and maybe after all the grotty poo he's had his undernourished body is now using up most of the 'nutritious' food he is now getting so there is little waste, just a thought.  Hope that the antibiotics sort out his botty infection poor boy xx

thanks Guys!  you don't know how much it means to have your support... especially for Colby.  Finding today really hard ... when you think on it his little life depends on whether or not he can do a basic function ....pooo!!!!!  :(

We have come to the conclusion this morning that the puss isn't coming from the open sores at his wee bum but in fact from inside the end of his anus.   (lovely I know)  So we are keeping on top of it and bathing and clearing it regularly and he has had his a/b's to help combat the infection.  SO perhaps this may be what is causing the problems in poo'ing??   well its a possibility and I'll take anything I can get at the moment if it helps him live!

He did however polish off his brekkie quite happily and is currently looking for lunch which I am about to prepare!   lets hope this afternoon brings better news!  :(  :wish:  :wish:  :wish:
