I hope these furbabies are found safe and returned to their owner - she must be totally distraught.

What a lovely attitude to have. >:(

You have absolutely no idea what conditions these animals were kept in and why they were outside.  No consideration has been given to how scared these cats must have been to be ripped away from their home by strangers in the middle of the night.

In addition, this lady does rescue work and two of the cats that were taken were neutered non pedigrees.  They could have been in an outside pen for many behavioural reasons.

You may not agree with breeding and that is up to you but I find your comments callous and I hope the lady concerned does not read them.

I think You have misunderstood what i am saying.
In both posts i have said i am worried for the cats, they are my main concern and i hope they are ok
All but one cat were un-neutered and breeding queens or studs.

I am going to stand by what i have said though...sorry

i'm afraid i very much disapprove of using animals to make money and part of me hopes that is exactly what has happened but most of me just hopes that they are safe.

i suppose it's possible that some well meaning person believes that they've "liberated" them rather than stolen them. if that's the case then they could well end up neutered and rehomed as pets rather than breeding stock.

Thats exactly what i wanted to say BM, hopefully they will become much loved indoor pets !

Although I am worried for the cats, I actually have no sympathy for the owner whats so ever

Worse thing is most of them are entire so arent going to end up being sold on as pets but kept for full advantage  :(

I dont see any difference MM

Dear All

I have copied the notice below from another forum. Please keep eyes and ears open everyone.

Maureen Savage, of Chelkesi cattery in Lancashire, had around thirteen cats stolen last night. If you look at her website (which doesn't show all her cats) http://www.chelkesi.co.uk/ the only one that wasn't taken was Ruby, the blue girl on the neuters page, who was indoors. The others were in runs outside and the gate had been torn off its hinges - this was no escape. The cats were not microchipped. Police have been informed.

Please keep your eyes and ears open for any news - maybe they will turn up for sale on the Internet or in a free newspaper.

Stud Boys - Blue & White Red Tabby & White
Male 6 months old Black & White Kitten

Female Neuters - Black & White

Queens
Blue Tortie & White Red Tabby & White Tortie Smoke & White White
Tortie Silver Tabby & White Brown Tabby & White

and one tortie & white who is a little kitten who was the runt of the litter
plus two semi long hair moggies - one red, one blue and white.
