He has come down for the last two days and slept down here while I went into garden cos he stole my chair!

Normally no he sleeps upstairs and comes down for a potter in garden but is always to scared to do that I think until a long time after the seizures have stopped.

You are right I am watching him very closely, cos I am scared for him  :scared:

I think you are now watching him far too closely Gill, I know I would be the same but also know that everything a normal cat (healthwise) will do may not seem normal at times!  ;)

Would he normally come down to the desk?  :shify:

I do hope this is just a case of convalesing! (SP?)

Franta has been unnaturally quiet over night and he has just had a phase of meowing for no apparent reason but I stirred his food and he has eaten and that seems to have done the trick. Must say I am a little worried about him though.

Its so hard and wish he could tell me how he is feeling.

He hasnt come downstairs to the desk today grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Maybe he is just trying to be Mr Independent and do his own thing and wants me to stop worrying!

This is all sounding good Gill, and the slow road to recovery - you need to make sure you look after you as well though, make sure you catch up on some sleep

Yes we are in day 3 I think....sigh....time goes so quick one forgets.

He is doing fine as far as I can tell cos it takes a long time for him to get close to his normal again.

I need to catch up with some sleep, he is doing that but not me LOL

After a seizure it can take a few hours of rest although his sight comes back within an hour I think but he doesnt want me around cos he lies in one place after eating every thing he wants. Also this time he was in the bedroom all the time so knew his way around.

I would stay withb him for about half an hour talking and stroking him but after that time he wanted to be left alone.

This time the abs worked after 3 days I think and then the seizures just stop. He has been off ABs now for 2 days and is OK but it will take him a few weeks to get back to his normal self.

The first time he had more seizures closer together but the abs werent started until 2 days after his first seizure cos the idiot vet scratched his head and gave stuff for Frantas ears!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank goodness for a decent vet although we are not with her any more because of him needing the 24/7 coverm all the others are though.

The second time happened 4 months after the end of the fiirst time and he started ABs within 24 hrs but had already had 2 seizures by then and it too about 4-5 days for the abs to work.

This time he had the ABs within 3 hrs of the first seizure and the seizures stopped in 3 days and they were all further apart than previously but they started only 2 months after the batch before.

He is now up and down the staits but he is not very strong going up but think that is just muscle wastage cos he is getting stronger all the time. He pops up onto the desk again but 3 days ago he had problems doing that.

He is not the same as he was prior to all this starting and it takes away his confidence but he was going out into the garden once a day to eat some grasss and sit in the sun and just bedore this time he spent quite a while just sitting outside but right now he doesnt leave the house.

There are no warning signs prior to the seizures starting again, just suddenly bang, although looking back at all my notes I thought I coould see signs of then stopping...........he has 2 seizures closish together and then a long gap and then they stopped.

I am hoping that tomorrow he will still be Ok, cos the abs should be out of his system but after that who knows,

He is keeping me awake at night shouting and am very tired right now but he is not eating the vast quanties that he was........12 pouches a day, we were going through,,,not all eaten but were are back to about half of that now and he is just jelly licking again.

Trying to make sure he has wet food available all the time and he has one in the evening, one before bed and another during the night and then another when we get up....all shared with his bro who is hardly bloomin eating grrrrrrrrrrrr. They also have biscuits avaiable all the time.

I have posted on Lotties thread and suggests she looks here cos maybe the marbocyl will help Bilbo :wish:

he wants reassurance, I suppose

but at least you don't have to keep on going upstairs to check on him if he never leaves your side :)

First morning without a jab and swear he keeps telling me he wants one!

We are now in the throws of meoooooooooowwwwwwww  repeatedly to get attention and he is wandering round the house very very slowly. Its like he has aged by 50 years  :(

I hope that he will just get back to his normal self but seems he just wants permanent attention and is now back lying at my elbow..........I think this is going to be a very long day..........sigh

Last jab completed . lost a bit but most went in.....his skin is so tough!

Now the next worry phase , as the abs leave his system! This is all so hard but they should be gone in around 48 hrs.

Right now he is defiantly lying at the top of the stairs with a naughty glint in his eyes. He has a very defiant smug look on his face and I am sure that he is plotiing something horrible for me, to get revenge..........as long as he stays Ok , I dont care  ;D

Defiant glint sounds good to me  ;)  Good work

Thank you

Yes the only one jab is the best for me and guess I must try to be quicker tomorrow morning.

He is moving around the house slowly to find me but he is not so hungry anymore which is a good sign........a box of pouches a day is rather a lot  ;D

So hope he stays well for a very long time.

I am scratched to bits after a fight over an injection  >:(

Still one more to go!

He slept on my pillow off and on last night and at one point was cuddling his head against my face but in the end had to get up cos was too hot and starting to itch. Then had to get up a number of times cos itching got so bad  :(

He seems to want to be with me all the time and foloows me everywhere like he is scared I am going to go off andf leave him when its dark.

Although sweet this does worry me a bit cos I think it shows he is still not feeling good but also is very insecure right now.

I wish I could stop worrying about him.
