Sorry Franta is still not well, and that you're having such a stressful time of it all.
I hope things change for the better soon.

Yes always allow them to warm up Carol cos didnt think that injectiing cold was a good idea.

I have rung the vets again and spoeken to one of the ex sick on es who knows Franta and me from Friday, she wanted to put me onto one of the other partners but he didnt want to ne involved as Geraint is at the Neath surgery today.

She rang their and he is doing an op and will ring me back when he has finished.

Its now about 3 hours down stream, have lost the whole day again and am still glued to the bloomin phone worrying.........................so fed up.

The bloomin scholo will be out in just over an hour and yesterday got back about an hour after they had finished and still couldnt park outside my house. Was feeling so bad I fell alseep fror about 3 hours and then had to go out and move car and the blooming breaks where squealing but too to tired to care.

Came back in and fell asleep again but today was hoping to be able tp go out and test the car and get to Mr Ford if necessary but am now getting very tired again and it will be dark in two hours which is not time enough to get to surgury and back.

Just a thought about the abs you already have Gill.  Yes putting them in the fridge may have made them thicker and the plunger stiffer.  Its always a good idea to let them come to room temperature before injecting anyway as can be more painful otherwise.

Topping up the positive vibes for you both

I thought about that the night before I went yesterday and was going to ask if that was done, whether it would then stop marbocyl being given if the seizures started again.

I thought it may and convenia does not get into the brain . Just totally forgot yesterday .

Yes definately dont want to take him out cos its far too cold for his little head I think. The car was still part frozen when I last looked not long ago.

Edd I asked about Olbas oil yesterday and the vet said that he had never heard of that helping...........sigh............I have been using euchy oil last two nights.

Gill - do hope you get the syringes sorted.

Another option would be to ask the vet whether a convenia injection would help - slow release a/bs over 10-14 days. Does mean taking Franta into the vets but it would be for the 1 injection. Appreciate that you may not want to do that.

Hugs to you both

I wish I wish grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Feeling totally incompetent cos cant get the abs into Franta cos the plungers are sticking and cant budge them when the needle is in. Finding it hard to budge them when its not in!

Its a thick milky med and wondering if it is worse cos its been in fridge and sorta acting like glue. Now waiting for the vet to ring again,,,,,sigh

Franta is neither worse nor better but the mucas seems to be thickening. I think if his nose wsnt feeling so horrible and maybe his head too he would be quite good.

Well that took forever.......sigh

Waited at vets for about an hour, all reception staff off sick and I asked the lady they borrowed from another branch how long it would be, she rang through and withim minutes Geraint turned up, so reckon the nurse that was manning the desk didnt bloomin tell him I was there!

Anyway have abs ands soimething called disloven which is a powder and just add a pinch to his food twice a day and its supposed to help break up the mucus....................fine while he cant smell or taste it

So has had first lot and just chilling before I attempt to jab him.

Am wondering if I have what the staff there have cos not feeling very wonderful.......sigh

Have spoken to Geraint and am off to get some abs for Franta and also something that can be put in his food to break up the mucas.

He says if there is a virus element then the abs will have little effect, so keeping fingers crossed that they will help.

Just wish they would read the notes left for them before bloomin spouting!

Am waiting for vets to ring, he is still all bunged up and apart from his blowing through is nose, havent heard him make any other sound since Friday..

Its very cold out there and dont really want to take him outside but as he will have to see Geraint I supect he will insist that I take Franta.

He is still all bunged up and has lost his voice completely.

I must be sleepy so lightly that one of his nose blows will wake me up unless it was a try at sgouting but it was when he wanted food. He is finding it hard to eat I think especially the pate.

Its very cold again and car is frosted up but am going to ring the vets shortly for advice cos dont want to take him out, also now have congunctivitus in the other eye, think somethong must have caught me in the night!

I feel that the steriod has possibly worked an that if he wasnt so bunged up he would be quite good but of course that may just be wishful thinking.

Gill I would get him to the vets as it could be the start or something like cat flu which they are more prone to getting when they are unwell even if innoculated against it as their immune system is low.

Really hope it is not that sending you both lots of

Franta never goes back for the meat LOL,,,,,,,,,,he only eats the chunks after he has had a seizure.

Appetite jab doesnt seem to have made any difference.....sigh,,,,,,,,,I not long been back from Tescoes cos so tired I vcrashed out for second afternoon running..........Ducha woke me up!

So fed Franta and he ate some of the pate food which was good and when I went back he was hiding!

I have to go to Morrisons next week so will have a look Mary , thanks.

Hopefully the injections will do thr trick.  So glad other tests were a good result.

About him not eating Gill, I bought Bonnie some Weebox the other day - wasn't in the usual packet - they were in a box and a lot heavier.  When I got home I discovered it's like a liquid/pate.

Bonnnie is sometimes like Franta and licks the gravy or jelly then goes back for the meat, so I put some on her meat and she wolfed it down - maybe it would get Franta to eat?

I got them from Morrisons but maybe other places sell it too.

Bonnie said I can send one of hers in the post tomorrow if you want me to.  ;)
