What a relief that Franta is back home. Now you just have to keep really calm when you give the first injection on your own - after that it's easy, I'm assured.

Just back from the doctor etc. with my mum Gill, good news with her and looks like it's good news with Old Mr Blue Eyes.

No more fits is brill. Good luck wth the injections.

Im so happy to hear Franta is home with you again and positive vibes that he continues to get better as im sure he will now hes home with you

and as everyone says just take a few deep breathes before you do the injection and im sure you will be fine.Its surprising what we can do when we know we have to.

He has been asleep now for about 3 hours and still behind the curtain in the dark...............maybe he is just chilling and pleased to be back in the quiet of his house.....I hope so

Gill, so pleased for you and Franta that he is home and is a lot more like his usual self. I've never given injections but would imagine once you've done the first couple you will feel much more confident

You take care of yourself too hun as you are no good to Franta if you are ill yourself

I'm sure you'll be fine with the jabs Gill. Mind you, if he is still eating well instead of being his previous picky self, you might find that you can give him the tablets in his food. Korky was on quite a high dose (15 mg once daily - he's a big cat) so I cut the 20 mg tablet up with a razor blade and put half a tablet into a small piece of Pate de Campagne (we were in France

) and a quarter tablet into another small piece. They went down without touching the sides and he looked forward to tablet time. That said, he is famous for hoovering his food - I'd never have got away with it with Tiny who chewed or licked every mouthful into submission. Just a thought.

with Star and her mouth problems at Christmas jabs were the only way, we definately hurt her when pilling her and even made her mouth bleed trying to stop her spitting it out, the jab was bliss!

That was the thing Dawn , I cant tablet him so this is the only option but if I can do it, it will make any other ab treatment easier cos I would be able to jab him and the others too.......well cept Sasa!

Its surprising about their tough skins isnt it? I found that with Suzie when I did my first jab. You expect it to be really fragile. I'm sure you'll do fine Gill.

Do your deep breating before you tackle the injection and you'll be fine - its amazing what you can do when you have to. I have great faith in the Marbocyl - as I've already said it worked wonders for Korky.

You must have been posting just as I switched my machine on because the title of the thread said 'is home' but your post hadn't appeared so I've been hanging around waiting

- well worth the wait
