Aww sounds promising Gill - and it IS a Birman thing with the bouncy step walk, I always think Toby looks like a trotting pony

It just goes to show you what lots of TLC can do to improve them and the work of your msmashing vedts too.

Just got back from vets......to take in his insurance papers and also some medical history......and Tescos to get the essnetial foods.

Franta was asleep when I went out, so tiptoed out. Misa and Sasa saw me go whispered see you later kittens to them................WhO was at the top orf the stairs meowing when I returned home!  Yes blue eyes himself and think he heard me opening the door, so like toi think it was hello I am pleased to see you, rather than,,,,,,,,,,,mean meowmy going out and leaving me all scared on my own (with 3 others cats) and its good you are back so you can stroke me

Oh well sigh....he got lots of strokes and I passed onto him all your messages and for all that I had my hands gripped between his front paws.....boy does he have a strong handshake  ;D

He had a good night and so did I and when I woke up he was lying fast asleep on one of the blankets I put near my bed  ;D ;D

Just a couple  of these :yayyy: :yayyy:

He is looking so handsome today, wish his tummy would improve a bit more.......definately think its him but slightly better this morning I think.

yes he is a good looking boy  ;D

well it is a nearly week without attacks and abs must bre out of his system, he is still not quite the boy he was but even if he stays like he is now for a long time i will be over the moon  ;D

he is not as happy and pushy as he was, much more tentative but today i did see the spring in his step a few times......after worrying he was walking so slow.

i dont know if its birman thing but he sort of bounces on every step when he is normal and he is going up and down stairs more.

i dont know how long i will worry about him and every little thing he does or doesnt do but right now i dont think he is due back at the vets soon...............well i am hoping so much  :wish: :wish: :wish:

all your support and kind wishes both on and off the forum has meant so much and kept me going over some very rough times for franta in the last 2 and half weeks, i would just like to say thank you to everyone...................and let the good times continue for him  ;D

i must also say thanks to both rachel and gareth , frantas vets cos without them, franta would not be still with me.

Toby aka Posh Boy and the kittens are not allowed in the bedroom at night  - they have their own - duvet incuded  ;), However come the daytime Mum's feather bed is much more appealing  :innocent: :innocent: :innocent:

Sadly I am unable to even contemplate making our bed during the day as they have first dibs .... Paul and I tend to make it before we fall in it

Looks like we are all gonna have one big cat fight over Franta.... Bonnie will win them all  :Luv2:

in your spare time Gill......... you could make a little bed for Franta and put some curtains around it  :Luv2:

Franta was up very early. Heard him during the night trying to bring up a fur ball but failed. Shows how bad I am sleeping!

One of the birmans has a bad tummy but not sure which one although thought it was Franta........I dont want to try starving them and wonder if its all the biscuits they have been eating?

I have been messing around with their food while franta was ill to try and get them eating better? more expensive and richer food. So am going back to basic Felix and havent filled ther biscuit bowl this morning although there are a few in there.

Franta has been up on the desk already and went down Misas way which is in two steps and yesterday did notice Franta a bit wobbly on his legs , infact one time he wobbled so much he nearly fell over.

probably he has lost some strength as he has hardly moved for two weeks and am hoping that this is the reason.

All in all, I think he is doing well and hope that this is the start of being better.

He is sleeping as close to me as he can without actually being on the bed and think he is still a little scared and wants me in touching distance most of the time.

Gill, I love those piccies of our beautiful blue eyed boy!  :wow:  He's making steady progress.

Quote
but thought the desk was too high to jump down from....noticed this since he was ill ....so  he came down in two stages onto my chair and then down to the floor.

Paddy was the same after he had his stroke.  He doesn't climb up high now, whereas he used to race up our neighbour's cherry tree like a demon.  He likes to climb up or down in stages now, and isn't so steady on his feet.  When he feeds from the bench in the kitchen, we have to put a chair there for him now.   I think you hit the nail on the head when you said it's like Franta's just woken up after a fortnight's sleep.  Heaven knows how it must feel to them, but I suspect that's a fairly accurate description.

you are very kind and i got his blue eyes for a change  ;D

he really doesnt like the camera but loved the loop, so couldnt move the camera and just had to point and hope for the close up.......have a number of others too of course

when he is in full fur suit he is even more magnificant but part of his ruff has been cut and neck shaved and also both front paws.

he has gone upstairs now and suspect he will be back in his hiding place when i go up............so trying not to follow him around but very pleased i stayed with him tonight cos i think he needed me  ;D

i am hoping his tummy is a bit better tomorrow and that he has another nice day.

Well havent got out cos he must have read my mind and he started meowing again.

He is very very restless and just doesnt seem to know what he wants to do and will not say in one place longer than a few minutes.

Was hoping to get my meds but it maybe Friday before I can........sigh

Yes Janey, I am desperate to go out and will have to go to the supermarket before Sat but I just cant leave him right now. I am hoping he is not struggling but think he is. I can understand you wanting to be with Schui

I am trying to let him do his own thing but the temptation is to follow him all the time. need to go and get my meds from Chemist before they close.....hope he will not miss me cos will be about 15 mins in the car.

Here are some pics from his photo session earlier  ;D

oh they were

I just popped down to the post box to send claim forms to my vet and he must have heard me going out......no more than 5 mins..really.

When I came back he was meowing for me from the stairs  :shify:

Its like he has just woken up from 2 and half weeks of sleep and has been lying on sofa cleaning me and  himself and trying to kill my camera cos it has a little loop to hold it by.

He was on my lap by puta for all of about 5 secs but thought the desk was too high to jump down from....noticed this since he was ill ....so  he came down in two stages onto my chair and then down to the floor.

He has been giving himself a good clean, especially where the dreaded bandage was..........two weeks ago! He is restless and wandering.

Have taken some pics, and dont know how they will look.

He has been walking around investigating but certainly was not happy that I went out.

Reckon the drugs all out of his system now, so now I wait  :scared: :scared:
