Thank you everyone

I think he may have had another mini attack late this afternoon but afraid I missed it. There was fur all over the floor and things had been moved by the front door  :(

It took a couple of days for the marbocyl to work last time, so am trying to keep an eye on him.

He is being very affectionate but he is scared after an attack, I can see it in his eyes and face  :(

I just hope the meds work as well as last time.

Not at the vets LOL but he was very good with me last time and didnt even flinch.......their skin is so tough though and it takes a controlled push to get the needle in.

Actually he was very good today, mainly cos he was exhausted from the attack this morning and not much sleep. He didnt even meow in the car!

 :thanks: everyone for your messages.

Very restless night I had and Franta got onto the bed for cuddles at some point , then wanted stroking down the side of the bed.....sigh.

Just back from vet cos Franta had another small attack just before 0800.

He has been given a short acting steroid injection to reduce any inflamation he may have in his brain and the first of a course of abs, marbocyl, which was what he had before.

We have decided this is the best course of action for him but if it doesnt work then we will have to think again.

The vet said he is looking fantastic and all his vital signs are normal, so hoping we have caught it early this time and maybe no more attacks  :wish:

Hope you had a peaceful night Gill.  Don't forget to sort out with vet what happens if Franta needs a vet over weekend Gill.  to you both.  What about restarting the AB injections?  Is it possible that old infection could have returned? Am just trying to think of questions for vet.  So wish you had MRI facility closer to you.

Franta has had another attack tonight about 3/4 of hour ago. The vet is doing emergency surgery at present and am waiting for her to ring back.

Oh Gill I thought you meant she was doing surgery on our lovely boy  :-:  You know he is being sent the very best of good vibes from everyone here    Be positive.  You at least know what to look for and that, if at all possible, stay calm to keep him calm.  Is it possible for you to get vet to prescribe same treatment without a visit?

Me too  :(

He is crouched down by the bed poor boy and is very scared.

The vet has said to check up on him from a distance and not fuss him and we are keeping fingers crossed that this is just a one off but this is how it started before. Apparently his notes have a NB to get him to an MRI if he has any more attacks but that worries me cos they do not know Franta very well.

Franta has had another attack tonight about 3/4 of hour ago. The vet is doing emergency surgery at present and am waiting for her to ring back.

She has just rang and we are hoping its a one off but if he has another I will need to drive him to Swansea after trying to administer the diazapam that I have for him.

Please keep fingers crossed for Franta and that this was just a hickcup and wont happen again.

He was absolutely fine aboout 3 hours ago.
