11 and half hours and counting.........come on Franta you can do it.............I am so stressed LOL....he is stretched out on the carpet in the bedroom and yawning his little head off.

If we could go for 24 hours then maybe just maybe he is coming through it again.

I dont know trigger.

I am waiting and hoping cos he is very quiet at the moment and if he stayed on schedule the next attack would be about 2130 and just dont want him to have one. He is not very steady on his legs at moment.

I suspect it's the place at Newmarket you are thinking of, Gill - considered to be the very best in the country, I beliive

my vet wanted me to go there from Carmarthen with Boycie, and Bristol was the second choice, Newmarket being far too far to go - how odd that Bristol don't have a scanner though - is it because they are considered of limited use in veterinary care?

Sorry dont know where Chestergate is?

The problem as I understand it is there are many places with MRIs but they dont necessarily have the expertize to read the pictures correctly and this would be a brain scan so very important if we were to go down that route.

believe it or not but bristol do not have an mri machine! the nearest one that my other vet knew about and considered the specialists could read the mri properly was over cambridge/norfolk way!

otherwise a referral to bristol would probably be the next step.

i am just keeping fingers crossed that the abs will work.

are you keeping a careful record of the attacks, Gill - time and duration and nature? it could be very important if Franta is referred on - have you spoken to the vet about a possible referral to the Bristol Veterinary Hospital?

I do hope they will cos only got 3 more injections to give now, if he is still having attacks by tomorrow will spealk to the vet.

The last 2 attacks were 11 hours apart and if he could just get through the rest of the day without another one I think that would be positive.
