Thanks everyone  :Luv:

I think we are going to get rid of it to be honest, and keep our normal 2 trays in the utility cupboard - we were thinking if we ever had a baby the tray would go as the spare room would be a nursery

There is no chance of them going outside for toileting as they are indoor kit kats  :)

The history behind it is, when we first got Jess we had 2 trays one in the spare bedroom (the tray I am talking about) and one in the utility cupboard, the upstairs tray was never used it so we took it away and he just had the one in the utility cupboard. Then when Milo arrived and they were separated at night to begin with we put it back and then took it away once the boys were spending nights together. Then the behaviourist suggested putting it back in case Jess prefers it because its quite private.

But Jess has never used this tray but I just get worried about upsetting him (yes I am mad) but I guess if he has never used it then he won't be bothered. He prefers the open tray downstairs, and I've kept a really old bed in the lounge because when he had his cystitis problems he used to wee in this bed to show me things were wrong.

I have only one out three that is being used regularily but when we had that really cold spell and Franta wasnt feeling well suddenly the other two started being used too.

When I go away over night I have 6 dotted around the house just in case.

I reckon if you have two somewhere else and if they are being used, I would not get rid of the third I think, bit if they are hardly used then I would try getting rid of it cos it can be put back.

Why do you think Jess will be upset?  If you really think that Jess will, then leave it where it is.

As they have other trays they use all the time and more importantly Jess doesnt use it at all i would see if you can remove it, you can always put it back again

I would leave it.  It's always a good idea to have a litter tray, even if they don't use it.  Then it's there for times when they can't or don't want to go outside.   Also, if Milo is actually using it, albeit only once a week, then I wouldn't risk taking it away in case he just chooses an alternative indoor location.

We currently have 2 in our utilities cupboard, one open and one closed, we used to have one in our spare bedroom but removed it ages ago as it was never used.

When we saw the behaviourist last April she suggested putting it back as Jess might like it as its quiet.

Well his never used it and Milo might go in there once a week!! I am thinking of taking it away again I figure if they don't use it there is no point really but equally I worry about upsetting Jess
