I apparently have odd kitties... Indy and Misha just sit and watch when I eat... on the floor... 3ft away from me I have lined up all the pets grudging me each mouthful. But no actual thef attempts (at least not since Misha stole a jalapeno off my pizza

never seen a 3kilo kitten drink 4 litres water before)

Cats are uncanny! I hadnt even discussed with OH what we might have for lunch. .... But two little furries read my mind because when I took sausages from the freezer early this morning, two cats appeared, looking hungry!!

I think my two have been reading this thread! Last evening was sitting with my dinner on my laptray. Oscar, as usual was sitting at the side of the chair telling me very loudly that fish was on the list of foods he could have, given to me by his breeder (not in batter it wasn't). While I was watching him waving his paws over the chair arm in the hope of catching something, I glanced down at my meal just in time to see a black and white paw nicking a bit of fish of my plate. When Sophie realised she had been spotted she looked at me as if to say "I was just re-arranging it" and then scoffed it. Cheeky little madam. Of course, then I had to give Oscar a bit as well.

Kocka mortified me! The lady next door decided to invite a male friend for dinner outside, one summer evening.......the days when I lived in London and we had a summer..........and I happened to stand up to go into the house only to see Kocka standing with her front paws on their table begging for chicken!

Not only did she get chicken but also desert.......ice-cream

The thing about the sausages was that he was dragging them in through the cat flap rather than out- I never did dare find out who they belonged to...

Uncle M was a terror for that sort of thing and if anything grew worse as he got older. He was particularly keen on OH's breakfast, which at the time was usually tinned mackeral on toast. Uncle M would go to real 'mission impossible' lengths to get at it, including abseiling off the top of a cushion- not bad going considering he was nearly 20! He was also a devil for opening the fridge and getting in. He was particularly fond of Jordans Crunchybars and many's the time when he'd start at the end I was'nt eating and get to the middle before I did. My very favorite time was some years earlier when I caught him dragging a string of sausages through the cat flap.

I think Ive told this story before, so I apologise if you've already read it elsewhere.....

Lucky was our nearly 19year old puss. Gizmo our slightly younger cat at 14.

My daughter and I ordered pizza, which came with a suprise free portion of chicken wings.

We planned to eat the pizza, sitting on floor cushions, and watching a video

Anne ,my daughter, who was then vegetarian (she is now vegan) certainly wasn't going to eat the wings and I wasn't over keen. We left the box on the floor. Lucky solved the problem. Not only did he open the box, but he took each wing out, one at a time, and LINED THEM UP!!
He wasthe most amiable of cats, but when Gizzy tried to take one from the box, Lucky bopped him one!!

Pensioner power puss!! We didn't let him eat them all in one go, or without supervision, but he was one contented kitty that night!!

Our eldest Coco, has a new thing of being a creep! he moves slow, and slowly goes in for "the kill" of nicking either mine or joes dinner, then when we say "no" he looks the other way like he is innocent,cant hear us! he is soooo naughty but i love him all the more for being so!!
He knows when he's done wrong, but then come the "loving eyes" he has yellow and black eyes, and the black pupil part goes huge! he reminds me of the cat of Shrek!

Our youngest louie, is also a cheecky lil thing, he is very vocal, and loves his treats.
Felix our middle cat, (who is not around at the mo) has a thing that when he wants some of our dinner, he bashes into the backs of our legs, tripped me up once and his bashing worked, a full roast dinner for Fe Fe!!!

That occurs regularly in our house you can't eat anything without a cat by your side, its quite embarrassing when people come to dinner.

Over Christmas I was eating some M&S crisp things and out of the corner of my eye I saw one being dragged off my napkin by Milo what was funny though was the fact I was sitting still and so was he just quietly using his paw to drag it off.

Hubby also ate tuna pate once and fell asleep with some on his lip and awoke to both boys sitting on his chest licking his mouth

Whe I first got Beavis and Oscar they didnt wait for dinner to be in the plate , they would try to hook it out of the saucepan! It took somne intensive training to ever be able to eat in peace , and even now 10 years later Beavis will still sit on the arm of the chair in hope!

When I had my three, Guinness, Maddie and Dragan, just try and eat KFC in our house. You would have a cat on each end of your piece of chicken as you were trying to eat it and one trying to hook another piece out of the box. Many is the time I have had to stand in the kitchen munching on KFC

I decided to have a treat today, and bought myself some mussels in cream and garlic sauce. Yummy!

I cooked them, and sat down on the sofa with the mussels in a bowl and some bread on a plate.

Next thing I knew, a small furry person was sitting on my right - Mr T

Then, on the other side, Chloe

The final move was a little paw hooking a mussel from my bowl. Mr T? No good, angelic, purrfect little Chloe!!

Then Mr T helped himself.

How do you wash mussely, garlicky sauce off two cats and a sofa ?
