Loving my time off!

Glad your intros are all going well too Liz.

I am amazed at how well she has settled - I had planned on keeping her tray and food seperate for a while but Nina is voting with her feet and using their trays too and appearing in the kitchen for feeding time.

You were so right about the blindness too - it didn't take her too long to realise something was up with Oscar, she jumped in front off him a couple of times and he (not seeing her) didn't even flinch and since then she leaves him well alone - apart from this morning when she curled up next to him on my bed. As I type this she is curled up against Edgar in front of the radiator and I am really chuffed to bits!!

The only problem we have is Edgar forgets how big he is sometimes and he tends to flop on whatever he wants to cuddle - which sometimes results in a nip from Nina lol!!

Hope everyone else is getting to cuddle up with their furbabes - especially in this freezing weather!

So glad that Nina is settling in and that its all going well.  Our Bertie was blind and all the cats treated him with respect its like they know that something isn't quite right and act accordingly - even our ferals treated Bertie well!

Just to add our Jasper is out and mixing with everyone and seems to love the kittens if I could just get him not to sleep on my head it would be nice it now means I am pinned everywhere by one of the troops at night!

Enjoy the couch and the kids and the diet starts in 2009!

Ahhhh how lovely ... I know what you mean about staying in with the furries.  I had a big lie in this morning and I had Foxy under the duvet, Zephyr and Rossi either side of me and it was lovely surrounded by synchronized purring

I am just loving having all this time off with my furbabes and not back to work until Tuesday 29th Yipeee!!!

I normally only work a four day week but as it is full time hours I feel like I am never in and OH gets to spend all the times with the boys and Nina. Then on the weekend I have been learnign to drive and usually doing something or another so as much as I see the furbabes I am not spending hours and hours hanging out with them - well I have only stepped over the door for a few hours on Boxing day to my cousins and been in apart from that and it has been GREAT!!!!!!

Nina has only been with us a week (as many of you will know from the rehome thread) and I was worried how the two old boys would take to her - well it has been a dream!! (fingers crossed it continues!!) Edgar was grooming her last night and even Oscar has came out of his shell more even with his bad eyesight. Nina seems to realise he is blind and as a result hasn't bothered him - she just torments Edgar and he loves it - he is constantly looking for her for a cuddle - although I think he forgets he cant flop on her quite the same way as he does Oscar!!

Anyway this morning I got up to feed them and came back to bed, well one by one they all came to join me and it was just FAB having the three of them even Oscar who hardly ever comes on the bed draped over me and each other. I really think Nina is loving have two big brothers and even better OH is away for two days so I have them all to myself - night on the couch with some chocs for me and my fur gang! (well not the chocs - but on the couch for them lol!!)

Sorry this is a bit of a pointless thread lol - but just had to gush about how much I was loving having my furgang around me and loving how much they have all settled together.

Will post pics when I get tjhem off my phone.
