DO NOT BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

Well, Finn went to a new home today (I do have reservations cos of how he was here, but there is a good chance he will be different, esp as he has more people and someone there more often), so he probably didn't really need a new friend!! Patches is still picking at his food, but his gums look a bit red, so will have to ring the vets tomorrow (again!!). I have given him some Metacam, to tide him over till they open, and left him different kinds of food, so fingers crossed it helps him enough till then.

Awww Desley Patches is gorgeous  :Luv:

Hopefully Finn will learn to like him soon  ;)

Great news that he is eating a bit more now, I know what it's like to have a picky cat.

Sending Patches and Finn lots of love and cuddles xx

I wouldn't have said liked his new friend Gill, he is still growling and spitting!! But, he is a lot quieter, this morning is the first time he has made a fuss when I have left them. Patches is starting to eat now - not large amounts, but the rescue did say he was picky with his food. I am still having probs with posting pics though!!

Well, Patches is now the one making the noise - he starts a lot earlier than Finn though (4am ish!!), but has a nicer miaow, and one I can ignore a lot easier!! He still isn't eating much, so I have separated them in case it is Finn's growling that is putting him off - as soon as I took him out, Finn started miaowing, I can't quite understand him, but Patches has only been here 36 hours, so I think the fact he is only growling and spitting and not taking it further is a good sign. Will try and get some more pics of them later.

HE is handsome - that pic was taken in the rescue, and doesn't show off all his markings. He hasn't eaten much yet - if he is still picking by morning, I will put him in the bathroom for meals in case Finn's growling is putting him off. He has that yucky fur cos it is only a fortnight since he was neutered, so I have just wiped him down with a baby wipe.

He was brought in by an elderly couplle as a female - he turned out to be an unneutered tom!!! Foster - waaay too young for a permanent cat!! I gave them cat tuna for their tea last night to try and help things - had to clean up sick and diarrhea this morning, they wont be having that treat again!! Things have been very quiet though, the only fuss was at brekkie time, so it has had the desired effect, I just want Finn to stop growling and hissing now though!! Patches is so laid back he ignores him, just lies in either the bed or the cat carrier (he seems to prefer enclosed spaces, the bed is a pyramid one)

What's Patches story - do you know his background?  Is he a foster or a new permanent cat?  Sorry for all the Q's - looking forward to the pics!

I have finally got Finn a new friend - he isn't 100% sure yet, but has only hissed and growled, and from a distance, he hasn't got close enough to attack yet, so I am fairly hopeful they will settle down. It has had the advantage that he hasn't cried when I have left him alone yet, which was the idea. His friend is called Patches, and is white with a few grey spots, about 3yo. Pics will come at some point, the comp doesn't seem to want to upload them though!!
