It is over 2 years since he was diagnosed

I know of many cats that have lived for many, many years after being daignosed.

Our vets takes bloods at least every 6 months and more often if they think it necessary, it just depends on the results at the last time of taking.

HE should really be checked Mark just to make sure, my vets wont keep giving meds unless they are seen every six months, so I am surprised you are still getting the Fortekor for him. Just because it is 2 years doesn't mean it is anywhere near the end, he might just need a different dose.
Please spay your cat

He ate the food I took up for him and also the rump steak he had for his tea  :evillaugh: (It was a day over and OH didn't want it so I cooked it for the cats)

MM - he didn't have bloods done so I wouldn't be happy increasing dose without it. I am dropping hints to OH that he won't go on indefinitely. It is over 2 years since he was diagnosed  :(

How's he doing now?

You know he's over the trauma when he eats :)

Sounds like our one and only home visit the first December we were here - 10 cats to be injected and it inliceds 4 in crushcages - Robin had domestics in the dog crates and the poor vet was so nervous she wasted a whole box of Programme injections at the vets expense and we decided no more home visits - we need the exercise to chase them - the remaining 9 of this lot are going on Friday morning at 09.30am

I hope you are now grovelling and not to sore to poor Clapton and aren't to stressed yourself

Lovely pictures running through my mind though but I think Clapton won this round!!!!!

Aw poor Clapton - but I must admit I was laughing at the thought of the vet running all over your house and Clapton peeing on everything in sight. Sounded like a slapstick situation   :Luv2: :Luv2:

She said if he didn't come out, she would just stab him with it  :scared:

He peed in fear behind the sofa, then under the dining table, then on 2 upholstered chairs (she put him up on the chair to jab him) - I said it was beacuse he drinks so much.

Crikey! not much bedside manner then? poor Clapton

She was in & out in about 5 mins. She is very matter of fact. When Clapton hid behind the sofa, she said "come on you, I've got other visits to do"

She said if he didn't come out, she would just stab him with it  :scared:

He peed in fear behind the sofa, then under the dining table, then on 2 upholstered chairs (she put him up on the chair to jab him) - I said it was beacuse he drinks so much. She said she is going to discuss putting him up to 5mg if he is drinking lots still  :(

still amazed you can get a home visit so cheaply - the other funny thing when they did ours, they sent the trainee vn with the female vet because oh had made the appointment!!

That Kirsty the vet is on her way over with needles  :shify:

Still better than the alternative of 10 miles in a carrier  :)
