This is Merlin..three 3 people have seen Merlin but none have decided to adopt him. He isnt a pure Burmese but a cross, he has blue eyes and does not have the vocal clarity of a Burmese or Siamese, but still he does look very handsome

He has been in someone"s garden since June this year and was being fed by a retired lady who has now had to go into hospital. He has been living in her shed until then and we took him in a few days ago because he didn"t have anyone to feed him now.

Merlin was a full tom but he has since been neutered, the vet puts him at 2 yrs old (some people say he is older) He was FELV tested and was negative and has since been neutered, vac (including FELV) flea, worm and chipped. All our adult cats come with 6 wks free PetPlan insurance.

Merlin is a very affectionate puss cat, but he gets a bit too excited and can nip and bite. He can be picked up and he adores attention, but he does get under your feet. He seemed to be in good condition and is not underweight and his teeth or fine.

Merlin does not seem to mind other cats, but he seems to have a strong personality and it may be that he would be a bit bossy around other less assertive felines, we are unsure of how he reacts with dogs.

Due to his nips (and he can sometimes bite) we would recommend he gets rehomed to older family homes or adults only, no small kiddies. He is used to going outside and therefore outside access would be required. We can see the Merlin would probably greet everyone he knows as a friend so it may be that if you were not around for the most part of the day he could go wondering, which is probably how come he ended up in someone"s garden since June.. So it would be good if new adopters were around at least part of the day.

He is currently in the care of Canterbury and District CP, Kent. Homechecks would be required and if you were outside our area we would need the assistance of another CP branch or rescue organisation to homecheck on our behalf.

Donations: We rely on donations to continue our work, please consider giving a donation if we assist in the rehoming of a cat, or if you adopt a cat from us

Cannot save the world, but if everyone does something we can have a jolly good job trying too....
