Hope his appetite returns quickly Kirst. If only they knew how upsetting it is for us when they are off their food  :(.

I assume vet couldn't find any probs with his mouth then?

How about tempting him with something yummy, Lynn always recommended Sardines/Pilchards in tomato sauce to kickstart a poor appetite.

B12 should kick in within 24 hours - it will perk him up and raise his appetite. It is not a cure in itself, but it raises the body's immune system to help fight off whatever the problem is ...

Yes, a tummy bug could pass round, all too easily I'm afraid  :(  - is that what the vet's thinking? Not really sure about how long the vitb jab takes to kick in though. Hope Beavis starts eating soon

He hasn't had anything since Wednesday night except a few treats. He went to the vets this afternoon , he doesn't have a temperature so the vet gave him a jab to kickstart his appetite and wants to see him again tomorrow if he doesn't perk up.Anyone know how soon that normally kicks in?? He really cant afford at 3.4k to lose anymore weight. Gizzy also seems a bit off his food today and a little lethargic. Is is possible for cats to pass round a tummy bug? Jerry is fine , eating like a horse an full of beans.
