she is cute!  my long haired cat Star is a moggy but I think there must be something about the texture of the fur, apart from when she really moults in the summer her fur needs hardly any work at all, she seems to be able to manage it herself

Oh, I don't mind at all if she is a lovely moggy or some sort of posh cat. I was just wondering and I have always had moggies so wasn't sure if she had more of some specific breed in her. Now I look at the photo again, it is very hard to see her facial features as her face is all black.

When I was thinking of adopting her I was a bit concerned about the long hair and how much grooming she would need. Particularly as she is very nervous and can't be picked up. But she is fine with grooming her back and sides and doesn't seem to get matted, even on her tummy.

fraid I agree, long-haired moggy. Long hair does not necessarily denote a particular breed influence I am afraid. And there are no outstanding breed characteristics that are popping out of that photo, sorry to say. She does, however, look like a lovely wee girl and well-cared for - well done you!

Yes, she is a gorgeous girl. She is quite delicate under all that fluff and not a big girl. She has the most beautiful big green eyes and her fur is very soft and silky. She lets me brush her head and back but her tummy is a no-go area.

She does have a bit of a turned up nose. I think she is absolutely scrummy. And I think with time she will be as cuddly as my boys.

This my new cat Poppy. She is doing very well now and is standing up to my boys more often than legging it. I have even woken up one morning to have the two boys on one side and Poppy on the other! So I am more confident that she is going to overcome her traumatic start in life and start enjoying life's luxuries.

I am just wondering is she is part Persian or something else? Any ideas?
