SSPCA - Neutering!

Theres a term that says if not already neutered you agree to do so once you rehome the animal, cant believe such a big charity rehomes entire adult animals

It is something they have been doing for the last few years .... and it is clearly stated on all their contract documents as is their ability to destroy the animal after 30 days if they have been unable to home!  Apparently they don't have the funding to warrant neutering all the cats in their care..... when they actually bother to take any in!!!!!     have you heard anyting so flamin rediculous!!!

there is a lot they do and don't do that would make the public sick if they new about it!   If dealing with them... make sure you read the small print!!!!!

I am just very baffled by it! Surely such an organisation would do neutering as a matter ofcourse!

As for some of the animals that get PTS, I have saw the same on a few documentaries or animal shows and it really made me think of rspca differently!

I actually think it is a disgrace. Having said that I remember a programme on TV where a dog had a broken leg and they did not bother with an operation, because they said if it were not homed it would be PTS and if someone did choose it they would have to foot the bill. Nice aye

I have noticed whilst looking at SSPCA rehoming pages that they don't always seem to neuter strays or cats they have been giving before re-homing them - for instance

Is it not the policy of all if not the vast majority of rescues to neuter cats unless they are kittens (when people are given vouchers) due to the massive amount of unwanted cats?

Just curious as I am surprised that an organisation as big as the SSPCA wouldn't have them neutered - do the RSPCA?
